I am. 50 year old male Truck Driver who watches a lot of Hulu. I found the first four seasons of Younger and have binged them all. I am recording season 5 on my DVR now so I don't moss a thing. The first 2 seasons were amazing season 3 was slow but picked up at the end. This is a guilty pleasure. I only wish I could see more of their lives. There is so much content that they are missing. This is one of the best shows I have seen in a long time. Why did I never hear about this show. EW where was the cover??? Great show. Everything is what I expect in a fantasy based in reality. My question is when do these people sleep. And half their checks must go on taxi and Uber/Lyft. Amazing and full of cliffhangers.

I don't understand this tendency today where too much blood, too much sex, too much violence is what it gets to be considered great. It is not. Sadly! The show had so much potential! There is so much to explore in this area, really, the writers had a chance of doing a truly awesome show. Instead, they just sticked to the too much sex and obscenity. And plenty of nonsense. I was really hoping to like this show, I tried and gave second chances. But it goes down to being all too much, with not many brains

***May contain spoilers***I'll admit, I originally watched this for Hilary Duff, because I grew up watching her and wanted to see what kind of recent role she was in. I was pretty hooked from the second episode onward, and took a huge liking to Sutton Foster, and her extreme talent. Every facial expression, line delivery- they're perfect! She's a great star of this show. This has comedy ( mostly in the form of one liners by Debi Mazar and situational oopsies) as well as drama and cliffhangers for days, and I'll admit part of the appeal of the show is it gets you caught up in everyone else's mess so that you don't feel your own ( like your chronic health issues). It's very good to binge watch as well, and got through 3 seasons in 4 days, but then you kind of don't know what to do with yourself when it's over because of how much drama and close calls you just witnessed. There are a few things I'm going to mention as cons, or things that I wish the show didn't contain:A few of the main characters that you become attached to and want to see do well, end up making repetitively REALLY bad decisions, and to err is human, but after so many times, this frustrates the viewer a lot and kind of turns them off of the show, especially in the 3rd season...***Spoiler*** The main character's daughter is not a good fit for her, doesn't seem like her own daughter, and ill fit for the role, which makes things not as believable as they should be. This is VERY crass, need I say more crass and vulgar than SATC. I am not a prude but some of the things that happen in this show are just... going a little too far. It's off-putting and you don't have to add those types of things for it to have appeal. There is a lot of partying, drinking and general "hanging out" that is typical of the 20's generation these days ( I'm in my 20's and I never did all this because I hate it)***Spoiler*** and it's sad that the main character reduces herself to all this. In addition, it's just a little frustrating that many a scene takes place in a bar or with the characters getting wasted, which is a poor use of run time, IMO.Lastly, ***Spoiler***, there is a lot of cheating in this show. It's not supposed to be a moral program, I get that, and I don't mind a lot of things in it that would bother some people, but the cheating is never justified and at least 3 of the main characters go back and forth and have cheated on someone or are being cheated on and don't care about it like they should. It's demeaning to see, and we need to get away from that culture. If not for my list of cons, or the producers redeeming the characters over time instead of letting them choose pitfall after pitfall, I would have given this a much higher rating. Overall, definitely a come-up series for TV Land and something to be proud of, but I hope the writers do well for it as long as it continues to run.
