a film so unique, intoxicating and bizarre that it not only demands another viewing, but is also forgivable as a satirical comedy where the jokes eventually take the back seat.

This story has more twists and turns than a second-rate soap opera.

/refers to all 7 seasons in succession/From time to time, one of our TV channels has broadcast this series, but due to its showtime and high number of commercials I never even took interest in it. But this year, since summer, I have had the opportunity to settle into the thoughts and actions of FBI agents performing difficult, at times unmindful tasks. When the first seasons are more case-per-episode stuff, then later are bigger developments into overlapping episodes with flashbacks. Not all episodes are, naturally, of equal quality and thrill, some of them tend to be artificially constructed with questionable scenes, but overall mood and smoothness usually correspond to my views on police work and respective movies-series. The cast is evenly strong, but the number of its main cast is too big; I wonder why Elena Delgado (Roselyn Sánchez) had to be included in the Season 4 as it was sometimes sketchy to follow the activities of 5 special agents before (to me, John "Jack" Michael Malone (Anthony LaPaglia) and Vivian "Viv" Johnson (Marianne Jean-Baptiste) were the most versatile characters-performances.Moreover, I would like to point out the witty inclusion of character actors-actresses in supporting cast, providing a fresh angle and diminishing the quality differences between first and last seasons. They tend to be famous in other series past and present, many of them in leading roles; the "problem" is that they often excel the leading performances (e.g. Laurie Metcalf), and one might guess that their appearances in first scenes would not remain the last, their characters will not die soon, etc. Still, as mentioned, their inclusion helped to decrease the aridity and routine inevitably sneaking in long series with multiple episodes. Thus, a good series, watchable even if not all episodes in a row. But the focus here is on cases and their deductions, personal life of leading characters is secondary.

I disagree with the comments by lilliansimone from United States. I also think comments will receive more credibility if correct spelling and grammar are used. I have loved Roslyn Sanchez ever since she first appeared on the show and I love the story line allowing two main characters to have a healthy relationship. I never thought the writers would allow them to get married! I am also intrigued with what will happen with Sam and Brian. I enjoy the various cases of missing persons and the many reasons how that can happen. It is refreshing to have a program where there is not a brutal murder or a bizarre fettish that we would rather not know might exist. I always pay close attention to the real missing person featured to see if I might possible recognize the person. I hope the show keeps up to good work for many more seasons. The only problem I have with the show is that it has been moved around from different days and times so that it has been hard to find.

Roseylyn Sanchez has been an awesome addition to without a trace. She does an excellent job portraying an intelligent strong Latina woman. The cast was predominantly male and another female in the cast brings more story opportunities. The show has gotten a little soapy this year with all the love interests but I still love this show and all the actors involved. The stories are gripping and sometimes heartbreaking. I dvr this show every week so I won't miss an episode. The characters are flawed which makes them all the more human. I wouldn't change a thing hopefully the writing remains consistent and the show will continue several more seasons.

As much as I admire Aussie actor Anthony LaPaglia, WAT is generally a very dull show, about people gone missing. LaPaglia is the head of an FBI unit specializing in finding missing persons. Unfortunately, he sleepwalks through most episodes. And his team, with the exception of Marianne Baptiste, is made up of typical B-level TV actors, all very generic and interchangeable. LaPaglia's character initially was introduced on one of the CSI shows. I can recommend watching WAT for one reason and one reason only: If there is no LAW & ORDER or LAW & ORDER SVU episode playing. Then it is better than nothing. It's like COLD CASE or CROSSING JORDAN: They are good enough to watch while waiting for LAW & ORDER. And I will say WAT is a cut above any of the CSI shows.
