That was an excellent one.

Instead, you get a movie that's enjoyable enough, but leaves you feeling like it could have been much, much more.

It’s sentimental, ridiculously long and only occasionally funny

I watched all three seasons when they first aired, and thoroughly enjoyed it. I just watched all three seasons again with my granddaughter, and still enjoyed it. I hadn't read any of the reviews until now. The only thing I truly agree with considering all the bad reviews, is that there were definitely too many commercials too often during the initial airing. I actually enjoyed it much more watching on Amazon Prime where there were no commercials! I'm sorry they didn't continue with a fourth season, but I guess I understand why now. Sorry so many people didn't like it

It's not the last thing in fictional drama - but I enjoy watching it, it's Sunday night easy going viewing, watch it in the right frame of mind and you'll enjoy it!

I stopped watching at (well, during.) the 12th episode of the first season. Apparent repetition of story line and plots don't bother me as much as the sheer stupidity with which the lady sheriff is portrayed in the story line. The writing is so bad for a character with this profession it literally makes me cringe. This pokes holes the size of watermelons in the story line of this particular episode, and because of that, I reckon many more to come. I am not interested in actors and the like, and I don't have any complaints with their attempts to make an interesting theory with a bad script as realistic as possible. Now, I've read that this show is supposedly based on a book. I admit, I don't read much, but maybe I should. Perhaps the book won't disappoint me when the story SHOULD be getting more interesting.

I saw the entire series in one go over two weeks. I really wanted to like this but sadly, I was in for a huge disappointment. The first season was bearable, even mildly interesting, but the downward trend accelerated from season 2. Except for Dean Norris, no one does justice to their roles. The writing and dialogue seems to have been written by fifth graders for an audience of retards. The writers keep forgetting what they had written earlier and as a result there are plot hole too numerous to mention. What was an excellent idea, got destroyed by pedestrian acting, immature writing and weak direction. The writing gets an F, acting a D and production/direction a C-. What a waste!
