I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.

I watched a series - I can't remember what it was - one day at 10 PM on Kabel1 (german television channel). I opened up the teletext and saw a series called DREI STAHLHARTE PROFIS (~ three professionals as hard as steel) coming up just after the one I watched.I thought what the f*** is that? I looked for a further description which than forced me to stay up longer and watch THREE too. I did not regret it!It is a solid series with great actors. The episodes are always original and it is always funny that the three professionals do not really like each other. I really liked Amanda (Julie Bowen) but all characters were great. However the episodes cover technologies that will never exist, like: a liquid substance that makes you hollow, a device that creates holograms and so on, it does not bother me and always shows that the three professionals are unbeatable. For a computer professional like me, it is always funny to watch the dumb things done with pcs in movies. Things that never could work like that and who the h*** has written this funny program with those blinking lights running on that notebook. It is the same with this series but I really did not care this time.I was really upset when I read that this great series was a FLOP in the US forcing it to end. Why, oh why? Why is three shut down and series like 7th heaven are still running? I heard that there are 13 episodes. This is not even enough calling it a season. I am worried and real sad that you guys canceled this one. Shame on YOU!!

The premise has THREE individuals (two men and a woman) hired for their respective field of expertise, to work together lest they find themselves on the other end of the law.The recruits were: a high-end jewelry and art thief, a master of short con and martial arts and rounding the group, was a computer hacker on top of his game. They all answer to 'The Man'. The series was first aired three years ago; every Saturdays at 7pm(I think) but due to University obligations I missed watching most of it. Then it was re-aired this year every Mondays at 3am.:D, which I didn't mind.Even though, these days, we (the viewers) have been wowed by movies incorporating hi-tech gadgets and hearing the techno-babble that went with it, watching THREE was still enjoyable for me. I liked the story lines exploring each of the characters backgrounds through their dialogue. This style made me want more information about them. Few shows have done that and I enjoyed watching a show if it gave the audience something to nibble on. LOLAdding repartee in between for the characters provided enough comic that didn't hurt the stories whilst they go retrieve some item or just stop a group from obtaining power thus upsetting the status quo, which was their prime goal.Seeing one of the recurring characters, Monty, in the series gave some expansion. I was really looking forward in seeing this character's interaction with the team but since the show was cut short; I guess it will be left in the minds of the audience.Lastly, it was much better than THIEVES, which utilized the same premise with some difference such as: two thieves were recruited and this time cooperating with a government agency whether they like it or not. If they chose the latter option, they would find themselves sent straight to jail for their respective crimes.

A great show. It's got style, humor, class and some great one-liners ("Will someone open a window and let some of this testosterone out?"- Julie Bowen as Amanda Webb). It reminds me a bit of La Femme Nikita and James Bond mixed together. Everything about it is good: the cast, the characters, the writing, even the impossible technichal gadgets which in some other shows are plain annoying. So if you stumble across it one evening (or night, or day, or morning), drop whatever you're doing and start watching. You won't regret it.

I stumbled across this show on one of our local networks at two o'clock in the morning, and was pleasantly surprised. It was a show along the lines of Mission Impossible, with a team of 3 agents, recruited by a secret organization to do their work. It had a nice edge to it, and a real sense of action. From what little I saw, I made out that this show had a level of characterisation rarely seen anymore, particularly with Amanda, who had bags of style and attitude. David Warner also put in a great performance as 'the man'. Rest assured, I'll be staying up until 2 next Monday night!
