quintusxerxes It started of good. It was intriguing, pulled you in, gave you hope of a good series. But the adults. Oh my, the adults, who are supposed to be smart, reasonable people, especially those who have high positions in the government. But no. The disregard everything they must have been taught. They act so stupid it makes me angry. And other people let them! It ruins everything. It's awful. Don't watch it.

SnoopyStyle Some children have the same imaginary friend named Drill. Drill tells them to some mysterious and possibly dangerous tasks. Child specialist FBI agent Claire Bennigan (Lily Rabe) is called in. Wes Lawrence (Barry Sloane) is from the defense department looking into Claire's husband Sean (Milo Ventimiglia)'s military plane crash which turns up halfway around the world. Wes had a previous affair with Claire.There is only so much that creepy kids can do before it gets really repetitive. The little kids causing mayhem can be fun for an episode or two but eventually it gets tiresome. That is the main drawback of this show. I was actually glad that it finally turns into an alien invasion show. It just takes too long to get there and the pacing struggles a lot of the time. It is a show that needs to grab the audience sooner.

xyzasdf First of all don't get me wrong, I love Doctor Who! And such a convoluted story revolving around an alien invasion, would just perfectly fit the universe of Doctor Who. There it could actually be fun.. But not as our hero's he would probably handle the situation, instead of making all the wrong the decisions every single episode. Or simply not doing what needs to be done: They could have resolved the situation multiple times, but they(the GOVERNMENT Agents) don't. But not only the main characters act illogically. The Government does it to! I mean nobody would probably let anybody with a child in charge, if you know that the child could be manipulated into manipulating you(by the way unlikely - what child would trust a voice over their own parents). But if you KNOW for a fact that somebody can and has been manipulated by their child, then NOBODY would leave that person in charge of anything! Especially in charge of handling the manipulator..Apart from logic the constant family drama is getting old very soon, even more through the fact that it slows down the storyline annoyingly.

huh_oh_i_c The Whispers had a great start, but it's now the extremely dumbest show on TV. Imagine this: you discover that there's some entity using kids to attack you when they are near anything electric, cables or appliances. Not all kids, just the kids of HIGH LEVEL politicians, military and scientists, and, this is the kicker ... the PRESIDENT!!! Now, we have to allow for some delay in combatting this, because ... it's KIDS you know? But the FIRST thing you do, is NOT ALLOWING THE KIDS NEAR THE PEOPLE THEY ARE SET TO INFLUENCE: THEIR parents! Who, AGAIN, are all HIGH LEVEL politicians, military and scientists! At the very least, you do NOT allow the kids to be near ANY electricity. But none of this. The adults allow themselves to be manipulated by their own kids, even after everybody knows their kids are being used to manipulate the parents. It's the height of stupidity.One excruciating example is Minx, who is threatened to be killed by Drill unless her mother kills someone. How stupid and unfit of a parent do you have to be, that your kid constantly obeys their imaginary friend, instead of you?? If your kids are THAT stupid, perhaps they deserve to die.This has got to be the dumbest show EVER.The Melancholic Alcoholic.
