hyped garbage

The film creates a perfect balance between action and depth of basic needs, in the midst of an infertile atmosphere.

A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.

The movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful

As a new contributor, many of my reviews had been based on stock memory. This show is a disguise of heavenly complications and always glad to find established actors trying and experimenting something extraordinary, as well new actors whom you've seen in supporting or as a cast member in a movie role to find their avenue and showcase their ability. At the end of each episode, you're eagerly anticipating the next wondering what will happen and you start playing scenarios in your mind, well I guarantee that you won't be able to do this with the OA. Not everything is clear , some motivations are vaguely implied but then what in life is ? There are no instruction manuals that comes with us when we're born, are we the Omega or the Alpha ?

Waste of time with STUPID ENDING that feels like it was thought up at the last minute and what was with the dance sequence? I really thought the viewer was going to be like WoW that's what that means instead I was left feeling WTF was that all about but will say it kept me in wanting to know what happens at the end that's why I kept watching I actually wouldn't recommend this one

Binge watching this series was like having sex without coming, like going to the concert with earplugs...arty, but often made me feel like I was watching a amateur schoolkids play with awkward pauses, looks and movements that felt exercised, practiced and dry. Mixed with some excellent episodes that kept me going but at the end left still wanting more. Unsatisfied. Besides acting, the story was intriguing, confusing, not spoon fed which is fine but there was too much hanging in the air at the end. I felt fooled. But then again, perhaps that was the point. Everyone did at the end in a way. It's a show torn between two minds, full of pencil sucking, compromises, unnecessary twists, unfinished characters. lacking in confidence to truly draw out the main character. Shame, so much potential but the writing was just not there all the way. Not sure was there too little or too much of it. But something was off. To lure the viewer into certain mystical track and spitting them out to a mundane school canteen floor, is annoying to say the least. Foreplay for nothing.

I just saw there is going to be a second season this year and I wonder if I should watch it. The first season did start interesting with some mysterious things going on, but the ending wasn't good enough to make me wanting more. Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij created The OA and I wonder if they took some psychedelic drugs while creating this. Brit Marling is also the main character Prairie Johnson or The OA, and she is a bit annoying to watch. Well to me it all began with their strange movements that look completely ridiculous. The story is weird and at one point you will probably figure it out, like I did, or maybe there is something else in the next season. Maybe I'll give the second season a go, for a couple episodes, to see where they are heading for. But if it remains bizarre like this season then I will just stop watching it.
