I remember this being an incredibly entertaining show. I have seen the lead actor in a few other projects and they were pleasant enough. He does well with the good natured scoundrel role and in this show his character is a thief who ends up working for the good guys. The one thing I remember about this show is that they did an episode where big-foot had eluded man for so long because one example of the species had become invisible. I was seventeen when I saw this episode and at that time I thought that this was a really sophisticated plot twist although as I write it now it seems pretty stupid to me. But that's what happens. You watch a show as a child and you think that it is the most advanced form of media known to man and then when you grow up and see reruns on cable you remark to yourself that it doesn't make a ton of logical sense. Like when we all realized that in Hercules the legendary journeys, he was always preaching about violence being this bad thing all the while beating the hell out of the bad guys. But I'm sure that even if I saw this show today, I would still be entertained by its fun, if mediocre, premise.

I am rarely won over so quickly as I was with I-Man. It is not only intelligent but also very entertaining. Consider Hobbes & Darien. When first we meet their characters, we think "These guys are going to kill each other!" by the end of the third episode you think, "I wish I had a friendship like those guys have."The actors work so well off of each other, you can really believe that what you're seeing is real.
With the entertaining, you also get the heart-warming. Darien's struggle with the loss of his brother, for example. Check out the episodes "Johnny Apocalypse," and "Ralph," for some of the more touching stories.
Besides the excellent writing, stellar cast (Brandy Ledford not included, though you get to like her character but never to love her as you do Hobbes or Darien), great chemistry and a generally great show, you also have the more aesthetic pleasures. You have the lovely Misses Kenney and Ledford, and the gorgeous Misters Ventresca & Ben-Victor (If you like bald men, Ben-Victor is your man!). Plus the more humorously aesthetic "Eberts" and "Borden (a.k.a. "The Fat Man")."
Definitely check this show out. It's running on syndication and every Friday at 5/4c on Sci-Fi.~J.

The Invisible Man is a demonstration of a great show built on a classic foundation. Wonderful characters, humor, plot, atmosphere, the works. It and the Sci-Fi Channel's other top series, Farscape, are great examples of how SF is at it's core about telling good stories, some old some new, with the twists of imagination only sci-fi can bring.

You know, i didn't much care for this series when it first came on. The pilot was lackluster and craptacular. But the series, as it progresses, has been very good, and I've become addicted! Go figure.The one thing I like most about it is the fun nature of the episodes. There is very good chemistry between the actors, from the lead to his co-stars. Although, I must say, the one weak point in this series are the villains. I'm not sure where the show is shot (probably Canada), and I don't know who is doing their casting for them, but all the villains are surprisingly very young-looking and not very menacing. Take the main villain, who has a recurring role (and the villain of the pilot), who is NOT good at all. That's not to say the actor playing him is bad, but, God, the guy just isn't very menacing. And that goes for most of INvisible Man's villains. They're just...there. Even the "corporate bad guys" are sorta...just there.Anyways, the show is fun. It doesn't take itself very seriously and goes for camp more often than not. And it helps that the main actors all have good chemistry with each other, particularly the lead and his partner and the female love interest, whose real name escapes me, but whose character name is The Keeper. Fun stuff. Hope it stays on for a while.
