I don't have all the words right now but this film is a work of art.

It is encouraging that the film ends so strongly.Otherwise, it wouldn't have been a particularly memorable film

it is a shame for the network to cancel this show. i have not laughed or cried from a TV show as much as i did on the few episodes. i would really like for some other such as showtime or HBO to pick this up, i am an anti-religious person most of the time, but the message this show extends is beyond any reservations i might of had. the issues it tackles and with such tact and wit, the writers must be admired. when this show does come out some other way, or through DVD, i highly suggest this to all who can see it. the characters and their interactions is so deep and knowledgeable of the other that you can believe they are a family. i could see so many people moved by this incredible showing.

I thought The Book of Daniel was a very anti-Christian, especially anti-Catholic, series. Yes I know it was about the Episcopal church but I think you may have had Catholics in mind, Mr. Quinn. And if it was anti-Episcopalian, I don't think you should attack their church either in the forum of fiction. It is unfair to portray the church in such a bigoted manner without a balanced view. And your picture of Jesus was the usual modern secularist false picture of Him. Aren't you folks in Hollywood supposed to be the most tolerant people around? You are so unfair to Christianity and CHristians and you display such bias it is sad. What ever happened to a noble artistic devotion to the truth? Why do you out their in the land of fiction hate the facts so much that you ignore them?

I really enjoyed this show. It was a good, funny show. Although it was only on for like 3 episodes, it was great. Imagine my disappointment when it was cancelled because of "controversal reasons". I can understand why Christain people wouldn't want this show on the air-it does make their religion look bad. But the one question that I have it "Did anyone make them watch it?" If they don't want to watch it, there is an off button on the TV. No one made religious people watch it. I know there were a lot of churches that said it was "their duty to stop this show from airing..." What a joke! This show should not have been cancelled,at least not for such a dumb reason.

Finally, a refreshing and humorous look at religion and the realistic view of a priest and his foibles--including his flawed family...and it bites the dust! (Aiden Quinn was outstanding!) Of course the religious right had to stand up and scream and yell at how blasphemous it is....OH YEAH, like any Church is saintly! (Ha!) This was a well acted ensemble piece that was wry and fresh. I can't stand the reality shows...give me some interesting scripted TV any day. Too bad that some stone-throwing Neanderthals in the Bible Belt took offense. If they didn't care for it--THEY SHOULD HAVE JUST CHANGED THE CHANNEL! That is called "CHOICE"...something that we are supposed to have in this country. Apparently, the fundamentalist wackos want to take over the communications in this country--if they had their way, we would only be allowed to watch 'Leave It to Beaver' re-runs!
