Although it has its amusing moments, in eneral the plot does not convince.

After playing with our expectations, this turns out to be a very different sort of film.

An old-fashioned movie made with new-fashioned finesse.

This is indeed the best TV surprise of the summer. The trailer for the pilot didn't seem motivating but as soon as I decided to give it a try, I found myself addicted to it. This show is empowering, inspiring and out rightly amazing. We need more of this on TV, please it needs to be given more seasons.

This show is fantastic. Not only is it entertaining to watch because of the wonderful acting and ingenious writing, but the message displayed is truly unique. The strong feminist vibes are empowering and make me feel like I'm a part of a strong, passionate group of women who are fighting today's ever-so-prevalent misogyny and sexism, among many other concepts including homophobia and xenophobia. The Bold Type also displays character relationships in a way I've never seen before- for example, the boss, Jacqueline, is portrayed as an understanding, mother-like figure for the employees rather than the archetypal unfair and corrupt boss. I won't go into all of the show's unique forms of representation out of fear of revealing spoilers, but I will say this: I haven't watched an episode without feeling stronger, prouder, and more independent afterwards. The only thing this show lacks is a renewal for season 2 (which makes absolutely no sense because everyone should be watching!?!?)!! So please, watch The Bold Type, watch it legally, tell your friends about it, and most importantly, ENJOY!!!

I very much enjoy the show. It shows three girls going through their lives working at a fashion/feminism magazine, and their personal conflicts as they do. It does a decent job at characterizing the girls characters (although I think Jane could use some fleshing out, she seems to be mostly to be anxious as a character trait. She's being fleshed out though). The characters go through some conflicts that vary from being in jail to trying to get laid, but I think that the show shows them off decently. Kat and Adena are great characters, and (they are the most fleshed out, so that makes sense), and Jane and Sutton are also fun to watch, despite their stories being still worked on.My one actual complaint about this show is that they take on too much at a time. I think the show would be better served with having the episodes focus on one (or maybe two) of the girl's issues, rather than all three of them at once. While I think that the structure could work in theory, I think they need to establish the characters a bit more before they spread themselves out like that.Overall a good show!

I get where people said that this doesn't sound like a real person in those girls position would say stuff like that. But there also just characters! They're not real people all the stuff said in this was written out for them to say. I believe that they did an amazing job on what they have released so far. This was an amazing story they have started to tell and I can't wait to see whats going to happen in the up coming episodes.
