Bad Acting and worse Bad Screenplay

This is a must-see and one of the best documentaries - and films - of this year.
Dirtylogy
It's funny, it's tense, it features two great performances from two actors and the director expertly creates a web of odd tension where you actually don't know what is happening for the majority of the run time.

I hope that the level of the rhythm of the series will not decrease in terms of excitement and dramatic plot

I really love James Spader, really REALLY. If I didn't, I wouldn't be able to endure the torture that is this show. I'm aware that he does things for money primarily, he said it himself. I'm not bothered by that, at all. He's absolutely magnificent in the role and up until the second half of the third season, he was so much fun to watch. Then he probably got bored and just kept repeating the shtick which does diminish the enjoyment when he's the primary reason for watching. Almost everything else in this show is pure garbage. The plots are full of holes, Megan Boone can't act her way out of a pancake pan, characters have no arch or even clear motives...it's a goddamn mess, all of it. I don't know how Spader endures it, it must be a lot of money in question and he seems like a guy that knows how to have fun on set. So there's that. The main character, Lizzie is written in a way where she rarely makes any decisions of her own and when she does, they're utterly moronic and have catastrophic consequences for everyone around her. Then Reddington can come and save the day (as usual) and be all protective and caring albeit overbearing. I'm at S04E3 now and almost NOTHING has been resolved. We still have no idea why Reddington is so obsessed with her and now suddenly, her biological father is in the picture? The mother plot was just cast aside like it never happened. Lizzie couldn't stop asking about her mother ALL THE TIME, sometimes in the middle of the conversation - to prove her rebellion to Red and now she meets her 'real' father and what does she ask? NOTHING. Not one word about her to the man who just showed up and said 'I'm your father'. Ridiculous. There were also two dogs in the show. Not one, two! One was in the first season and then it magically disappeared. Then when Lizzie decided to play house with Tom there was suddenly another dog which she completely ignored and that dog also just disappeared. Also, Agnes is a godawful name for a child. What were the writers thinking?!This is just glossing over, the show has so many inconsistencies and straight up idiocies that I would not recommend it to anyone who doesn't like Spader a lot. And I really mean A LOT. Watch Person of Interest instead. I'm giving it 5 of 10 on his account.

I found this on Netflix and the reviews were fairly good, although it was plain that Spader was carrying this one and many of the plot lines were fantastical. But in the first 5 minutes I watched, it was clear that the acting and writing were less than network (ABC, NBC, CBS) average. Wooden and cliche writing. The beauty of Spader, in his youth, was that he looked like a sweet, cute, harmless geek...until...he opened his mouth. He could smirk and talk creepy amazing and original performance after performance. But now that he is bald, with a generic face (IS that even him?), his trademark personality falls flat (IS that even him?). Or was it this stinker of a script and that fact that he is phoning it in? I can't say that I have much patience, with a very few exceptions, with network series, but even so, this is just another of the least common denominator network shows which pander to the "newspaper" crowd (it it said that newspapers are written for a 4th grade reading level, or something like that).

Until the very end of the show it seems and is a great series. Then they do the one thing that gets - atleast me - to start hating the series. They kill off the main character right in before the end of the show. Great series turned into a bad one in few seconds. Didn´t the creators think of any other solutions? I just don´t get it.
