If you like to be scared, if you like to laugh, and if you like to learn a thing or two at the movies, this absolutely cannot be missed.

This is the absolute best pilot I have seen in a long while! Very sad thats all there is of this show. Personally, I think this series could be a great one, and I sure it would have more than enough followers to make it work. I like how we know just what the characters know, so we can follow the story along with this group of eight people. It kind of seems a bit similar to Revolution, with all the electricity being gone, but this one seem to have more than just the power going out. Is it an invasion? Is the government behind this? Is our planet just giving up? I have no idea, but I would really like to know!! I really hope they reconsider and make the show.

Loved it. The show picked up momentum to an intriguing story line. By the end, I was hooked on the characters and the hints at the unknown event that preceded "the after." It looks like Chris Carter has created a post apocalyptic show that uses realistic possibilities and mysterious coincidences, (like the X- files?) where the audience can enjoy speculating about clues and significances to find answers. If so, even better! Some of the characters are a bit more believable than others--and some are great. Would like to learn about their back stories. The horn got to be a bit annoying and it might have been nice to have music to pick up the pace at the beginning but after they got out of the garage, the action compensated. The concept is compelling. Looking forward to the series!

Without going into too much detail, I just cannot see the point in this Pilot, nothing anyone did made any sense, like the following: Why would you choose to go to a strangers house with other total strangers just because you had just been stuck in a lift for 5 minutes with them ? Why would an escaped convict come back to rescue some people including a police officer who he had met 2 minutes earlier and threatened with a gun when the city was swarming with police and other rescue personal ? Why does everyone swear so much, every sentence contained "fucking", the Irish character only knows this word, but hey nobody seems really bothered, there seems to be something else going on (a few booming noises and a lot of people hanging around in the streets, swearing) but everything appears to be normal, but just in case its not lets stick together with an escaped convict and a dodgy looking Irish gob shite ! Just to keep us interested in the end we have a weird guy painted blue with snazzy eyes and little horns appear and attempt to caress our heroine, he however gets knocked down and decides it will be quicker to get away by crawling on his back ! Does it make much sense ? Well it didn't to me !

It was absolutely painful to watch the pilot. It's filmed so badly, they never actually show anything. All the scenes are framed so narrowly, you can't tell what's going on around. Even when they show the huge crowd from the above, you can't see what's actually going on. It's just a crowd with a bunch of people running back and forth. No explosions, no collapsed buildings, no fire. The explanation is quite simple - the production is so cheap, the most they could afford is to make the actors look afraid, but never show what they are afraid of.Yeah, there was a small CGI scene at the very end of the pilot, must have lasted less than 20 seconds. Cheap thrills, not impressive. The actors were not impressive either. I can't say that I really liked any of them, which in itself tells me a lot. I don't remember the last TV show where I didn't like at least one actor.
