Hattie I didn’t really have many expectations going into the movie (good or bad), but I actually really enjoyed it. I really liked the characters and the banter between them.

Morbius Fitzgerald The Addams Family is a TV show from the 1960's which was, in general, a satire on society as most people knew it featuring a rich family with strange characteristics and the way they get by in everyday life. Does it still hold up? Surprisingly it does and quite well as a matter of fact.Okay I'm not usually a fan of sitcoms because in general they only have one joke (for example, in Big Bang Theory, the joke is that they're geeky) this show is no exception. The main joke is that they are strange. The reason this works is that you can go anywhere with this joke. They can sell their items at an auction and they're sold for 35 cents, a kid from the family becomes a stereotype and they call for a psychiatrist. These jokes still hold up and they are genuinely funny.One thing that I genuinely like about this show is that with these strange oddities, the Addams Family are happy with it and act like its normal. Picnics at graveyards, a hand that serves them called "Thing", not once did they question whether this was strange. I love that they are so used to all the strangeness that they never once question it.The acting is rather well done, especially for the time. The kids are probably the weakest actors and they deliver their performances okay enough. The best one, strangely, is Carolyn Jones as Morticia Addams. She manages to have amazing screen presence, even when in the company of two male actors (John Astin and Jackie Coogan) who chew the scenery.So if you want a sitcom with a satire and a surprising way to keep people entertained, nearly 50 years after it first aired, then I hold this show up with high recommendation.

This is the Addams Family, a clever and very funny show about a close-knit family of affluent oddballs(according to the "normal" people who visit their home!)who just want to be happy and do their thing(so to speak!) whether that be moon bathing, bobbing for crabs on their favorite holiday(Halloween of course!) or romps in the swamps(backyard variety)this series is one that can be viewed as a clever satire about what is considered normal versus weird, sane versus insane, scary versus comedic, all in a very funny package of two seasons and 64 episodes.A shame this was canceled after only two years, but then it would have gone to color, and perhaps some of the atmosphere that the beautiful black & white filming gave us would have been lost.Fans would not mind paying a personal visit to this wonderful home on 000 Cemetery Ridge!

SanteeFats I watched this series when it first came out, yeah I know, I am that old. I find this series funny, funny, funny. I actually own the entire series and break it out now and then to watch again. Wednesday is always trying to put Pugsley in some kind of killing situation and loves to Marie Antoinette her dolls(chop of their heads)!! Gomez is always turned on whenever Morticia speaks French. They are extremely wealthy but most of the time you have no idea where the money comes as Gomez is constantly making bad choices. I like cousin Itt, Granmama, and Uncle Festus. They make a great support cast. The different relatives that pop in or visit from time to time are also funny. When the outside world becomes involved it can ramp up the humor.
