Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable

this film was written by Simon Moore and produced by Robert Halmi. The movie starts out in modern-day New York, following a girl named Virginia and her father, Anthony. Then in a different realm where Cinderella, Snow White, and Little Red Ridding Hood were once rulers of the land. Prince Wendell, the grandson of Snow White Gets turned into a golden retriever by his step mother, the evil queen. When the evil queen sends trolls after him to kill him, he finds a way to escape by running through a magic mirror. This is when he runs in to Virginia and their journey begins. One of my favorite characters is Wolf. I like him because he is relatable. because people judge him by his appearance because he has a tail and then they run away. And assume that he is always to blame. This is relatable because it is very easy to del like an outcast and that everything is your fault some times. This film is very unique because it gives a good twist on classic fairy tales. one of my favorite clips from the movie is when Virginia is try to win a competition by singing we will rock you in a lame remix( have to watch the movie to find out what that means). this movie was very emotional movie to me because you go on an emotional roller coaster , sometimes your happy , sad and laughing.

I stumbled upon this film by accident. Was looking for a video to rent and wanted to see something long since it was a rainy Sunday. Approx 7hrs it said on the box. That would be able to fill my rainy Sunday:)i Never heard of the series before, was clueless bout the story, but i do know that i was captivated after 30 minutes into the film. Watching the story unfold was a sheer pleasure with new characters coming into the story line, cool landscapes and more and more unexpected stuff. To be honest, sometimes the special effects could have been better, but it never distracted me of the storyline. Then again, i wouldn't know any movie in its genre to compare it to. Bit one of a kind if you ask me.Havin a 7 hour movie, the risk of getting bored is big. Never happened though. It remains captivating, the full 7 hours of it. I watched it loads of times already and i will be watching it countless times to come. It's still one of my most favorite films. To sum it all up: If you don't like this movie, you have probably lost the child within you, and that, is just a shame.

Let me start with praise for the magnificent graphics, costumes and sets and the cute story and the Wolf that stole the movie, followed closely by Sally Peep. But when Tony says he'll stay behind at the end, who can blame him? His daughter, whom he raised alone, considers him a joke and argues with him every chance she gets, and is more affected by the death of her mother who tried to kill her three times. Not that Tony doesn't have his own problems. He is continually sarcastic and verbally abusive to Virginia (and everyone else within earshot). I count no less than four times that his daughter is crying inconsolably and he stands silently and watches her. Have either of these people heard of a HUG? No wonder Virginia skips from a brief kiss to the horizontal hokey-pokey with Wolf. No one has ever shown her any real affection. I think that's where this film fell down for me. Dad and daughter were only sparring partners. They might as well have been complete strangers. It might have played better.

Virginia and Tony are two normal people living in Manhatten,New York when Prince Wendell is turned into the dog by the evil Queen who wants to rule the 4th kingdom.Wolf is released by the queen to go after Wendell along with 3 trolls.Wendell,Wolf and the 3 trolls go through the magic mirror into New York. When one thing leads to another they enter a world they have never imagined.I love the 10th kingdom. Its a great story and amazing characters. Its a really long story but its eventful every step of the way until the end. They even left it open for a sequel.Except their never was a sequel boo.Anyway overall.Unforgettable.
