Stylish but barely mediocre overall

The acting is good, and the firecracker script has some excellent ideas.

A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.

The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one

I'm usually working until 9 so I miss a lot of shows. I recently found Taxi Brooklyn on Netflix and really enjoyed it. Yes like many said the beginning was slow at first, but many shows are like that until everyone gets used to acting together. It's very sad that they don't renew god shows, but keep these stupid reality shows (Survivor, BBH or Bachelor) on or produceing remakes of old shows (McGyver, Magnum PI and the Odd Couple). I'm going to miss Taxi Brooklyn.

Great Story, Great characters... Chyler Leigh and Jacky Ido worked very well together. Jacky Ido was believable, funny, intense: really felt like a New York cabbie, and (like a typical NY cabbie,) NOT from New York, and he's a whole lot smarter then his job required. And Chyler Leigh! Wild, almost out of control, passionate about the work, her life, and justice for her father. Great to see her in this role after playing such a meek person in Grey's Anatomy!! The whole cast worked well, and the writing was very good. Like I said, Wanted more: hoped it would return this summer! One would only wish the networks would stick to shows like this and give them more time to develop.

Taxi Brooklyn could probably use another title, like "Brooklyn Cabbie". The characters complimented each other. Like any good program it may need to be reevaluated. I believe it does have great potential. I went in search of the next episode. This show deserves another chance, I can just imagine the comeback episode as explosive. If only the writers didn't box themselves into a corner. Writers can also write themselves out of a corner. This show has so much more to play on. Fortunately the last episode left you desiring more, there are just so many ways to go. The characters brought their own level of realism to the show. The character who did 3 tours in Vietnam and couldn't fight, that seemed a little unrealistic. The writers could have had fun with that character.

I mean it isn't terrible, but it isn't good either.First, the premise is just too weak. I can buy that female detective Beckett brings rich Castle into the precinct, but a taxi driver is just too much of a stretch. Both characters and actors are fine, it's just the basic story-line that doesn't hold together. The dialog isn't all that bad either, maybe 7 out of 10.The rest of the cast and characters are okay.Cinematography is okay. Car chases were fine, but two or three per episode was way over the top. They just get boring after a while. The scripts are horrible. There is just too much haphazard action where cat can almost always chase down the runner, but first stopping to handcuff somebody. Finally direction, which could have fixed a lot of the junk in the project, just failed to clean things up. In fact direction added to the demise of the show.In spite of all of this I could suspend reality and watch it. And I liked it. Sometimes a series starts out and is bad from the start (CSI Cyber) but sometimes the series gets better over time. This one didn't (neither did CSI Cyber).
