Good story, Not enough for a whole film

A Masterpiece!

It is not deep, but it is fun to watch. It does have a bit more of an edge to it than other similar films.

Great example of an old-fashioned, pure-at-heart escapist event movie that doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not and has boat loads of fun being its own ludicrous self.

I just checked the series to get into the sexual part of it to be Honest. But ended up loving all the characters and the kind of story the writers have portrayed. It doesn't take long to get into the story as it drags u into it. Two women getting cosy with each other and a newly formed couple makes this even more interesting.GOOD look at the relationship thing and the varieties of perceptions that we have towards it!! Its fast, appealing and makes u want more!! The series is awesome and the only question in my mind is why is it just for the 6 episodes. why not a full season. However the way it ended is awesome but they could have elongated it.

Yeah, this show is terrific. Full of intelligent gems and thought provoking quips. Real, wrought characters. Quick moving. Be sure to be alert in order to get all of it.Very annoying that the show was only for six episodes! I understand why, because something about the production quality and the acting seems less developed compared to other, longer running Showtime shows. But it has moments of true beauty and is incredibly consistent. I think the main reason it ran a short distance is it's simplicity. It's very complicated at the same time. This can be either jarring, or difficult for people; but, for me, it was a wonderful experience. Satisfying, too.Beautifully written. Great actors. Sensitive direction.

wonderful show about men and women, written for BOTH men and women. i would like to think men can learn a thing or two about women by watching this. and i believe i have learned a thing or two about men from viewing this series. i would suggest it to anyone over 21. teenagers probably will not get the subtleties. or, for that matter, if you prefer more typical Hollywood fare, this is not for you. think woody allen or ed burns or more recent filmmakers such as the duplass brothers. no silly hijinks. the title is not the best, it makes the show sound less than it is. better it should be called 'strictly relationships' as that is the only thing the show is about. in fact, the only other topics it covers are career, though that is mentioned more in passing as how relationships can take us away from our careers. overall, the characters are funny and lovable, the situations are strangely familiar, and the photography and writing are the best on TV right now.

Fantastic characters. The writing is raw, funny, and very witty. Story that unfolds is authentic and real. Acting is superb. Filmmaking is hand-held, mumble core fashion. Two women choose to swear off men and focus on their careers. One meets a guy she can have sex with and not fall in love with, while the other finds the loophole of falling in love with another woman. Certainly not for young people. An intelligent comedy/drama for people that have been in love, had their hearts broken, or afraid of just that. Hard to explain, sorry if this review isn't helping, but i recommend this TV show if you enjoy smart cable shows. Yes, there is sex in it, but the show is about relationships. Why relationships work, why they don't, and why sex can make or break a relationship. 10 stars.
