In truth, there is barely enough story here to make a film.

The story-telling is good with flashbacks. The film is both funny and heartbreaking. You smile in a scene and get a soulcrushing revelation in the next.

The biggest problem with this movie is it’s a little better than you think it might be, which somehow makes it worse. As in, it takes itself a bit too seriously, which makes most of the movie feel kind of dull.
Marva
It is an exhilarating, distressing, funny and profound film, with one of the more memorable film scores in years,

Better than Madam Secretary, and I like Madam Secretary. This just has more action and is sexier. And the twists in the plot don't happen and get resolved in one episode like so many shows that are for those with short attention spans. you have to be patient. If it could be improved at all it should have more testosterone and more action. This show should definitely go forward. In fact if shows like this are just going to be put out and then canceled after a season, they should just make a movie or mini- series pilot first with some resolution and ending to see if people are interested, and quit frustrating people with a canceled season with all kinds of loose ends. Its like publishing books with the last few chapters missing. A waste of your viewers time, and fewer people will even be willing to start watching your new shows when cancellations occur more often than not.

I'm kinda digging this show. It's sort of like Homeland but it doesn't take itself as seriously. It has a good cast with some star power and it's success doesn't rely solely on "celebrities". The story does need a little fleshing out though. So far there has only been one personal life explored, and that has been limited. Right now it is very work focused and the human side of the characters are not being explained very well. The show definitely has room to grow but I'm not sure if it will take that opportunity. I feel that it could become stale very quickly if they don't develop the concept. Aside from that it's still a pretty good show with plenty of potential.

My favorite show is Blacklist. This show is definitely my second. I enjoy the relationships, the acting, the story lines. Since I am not a CIA agent nor white house official I do not know the inner workings to determine whether everything is exact in detail. However I have worked in Iraq & Afghanistan & been through many of the other countries where being shoved into the back of a van with a wrap over your head to be taken somewhere is not unlikely at all. I enjoy this show for the sheer entertainment value. It keeps me in suspense & is able to do so without continual foul language, sexual innuendo or graphic sex scenes. It seems without those items, however, shows do not tend to make the cut. I am reaching a point of just not even having cable because anytime I find a show I enjoy it is canceled.

I am hooked. I have watched Katherine Heigl for years thinking she is such a talented actress who keeps getting lousy scripts. Finally she has a script worthy of her talents. I think she pulls this off well, proving she is more than just another pretty face. She makes her character totally believable, in spite of her being so physically beautiful -- a real challenge. I think she has done just what Matthew Mcconaughey did in Dallas buyer's club -- prove that she does not have to be typecast in silly romantic comedies. My only complaint is the audio on the production. People mumble a lot on this show! If it weren't for Tivo I would miss half the dialog! I think the mixing needs to be adjusted.I am a very busy person and I don't have time to watch much TV. This is one of the few shows I will make time to watch. I hope NBC keeps it going!
