robynthedragonslayer I am giving this movie a high score because I want to see more like this. For a crowdfunded movie it is really quite impressive and I want the series to move away from the hands of JJ Abrams who quite frankly, does not know what he is doing with the series and into a direction like this. Good characters, great spirit. Things that the JJ Abram's movies lack very much. This really feels like something that was not just about the money. For a movie that did not have a massive budget, the special effects were really quite phenomenal and the fact that they were able to get so many familiar faces on the show is really awesome. Tim Russ' daughter even makes an appearance on the show. If anything, just buy it and see what you think for yourself. I will really appreciate it and most importantly, I'm sure the star trek franchise will appreciate it.

William Lucas Lots of good points and had lots of good potential, but left me feeling the void because, simply said, this one is not the Star Trek I was expecting. I have read many articles on FaceBook about Star Trek Renegades and each one had left me with the impression, the fans were true to have made this one become possible. So I was expecting a lot more than was delivered.Acting: 3/10 Some acting was good, but most of it wasn't. Tim Russ was the director. Mr. Russ should have asked for help from Johnathan Frakes. There were parts of the movie that clearly jumped around and cause confusion and a blank in the train of thought during the playback.Video: 9/10 The movie has great video quality. The darks were just right and colors were correct. However, speaking of Admiral Chekov's uniform, I'm thinking it was made for a dish washer, because the sleeves were way too short. Sort of had reminded me of high waters pants, if you know what I mean.Audio: 5/10 The audio channels were not as distinctive as one would expect.Final thoughts: Would I watch the next episode of Star Trek Renegades? I believe the first episode is a good start. I am with high hopes the series will become better and stronger as they continue to be produced.

fred here Overall, a great movie, a B movie, but very well done. it was awesome and with a little work would have been an award winning show. still, a great story and i like the direction that it has taken, with intrigue behind the facade of starfleet. The only bad acting was the granddaughter, but she only had 5 minutes total, and she was sweet, so no big deal. Loved the makeup and mask and characters. Captain Alveress was also shaky, which was a surprise, because he is a great actor, and a couple more. Overall, i really lost myself in this film and can't wait for a more mainstream cast and directors, sci-fi part was excellent. Bad to the bone ships. Lots of heart shown in the characters. Chekov was pretty good. The captain of the Renegades, she was awesome.

Johan-smedjebacka I am a backer of this fan film and really looked forward to see it, what do I think after seeing it? Well, I was ready for low budget effects so that was not a problem for me, it's the story that's the problem, because i'm not sure if this can be classified as Star Trek, even JJ Abrams movies had more respect for old star trek. This is a dark tale without moral. Chekov and Tuvok seem to have no problem cooperating with criminals who shoot to kill every time and why is Tuvok even in this movie? He gets like 2 minutes screen time, I wish he had got more screen time and Icarus crew less.Then we have the enemy.. that is so terrible and frightful in the beginning of the movie, but is in the end taken out just by some random criminals led by Khan's daughter.No this is not the Star Trek i grew up with and I prefer Star Trek continues instead of this dark tale. This is not what Gene Roddenberry's Star Trek was meant to be.
