Although it has its amusing moments, in eneral the plot does not convince.
TrueHello
Fun premise, good actors, bad writing. This film seemed to have potential at the beginning but it quickly devolves into a trite action film. Ultimately it's very boring.
Marva
It is an exhilarating, distressing, funny and profound film, with one of the more memorable film scores in years,

My 2 year old loves this show. It has music, learning, and cute characters so it's not annoying for me to watch with him. I think this is one of the cuter kids shows out right now

In response to the other negative reviews of this program on here, I find nothing at fault with Splash and Bubbles. In my opinion Splash and Bubbles devles into the topic of Oceanography in a fun yet educational way. Kids get to learn about the ocean, even if they don't live near an ocean. The characters are zany and quirky and the reeftown environment is amazing. There's lots of neat side characters the group runs into and learns about different types of sea creatures found in the ocean through each episode. Some of the fish have occupations and occasionally one of the fish has to go see a doctor, or a dentist, and the episode helps the kids get over fear of going to a doctor or the dentist. But most of all the show is all about fun and having a good time with friends. The concept behind the show is that its good to meet new people and get to know your friends better, and to experience life. There's not many shows where kids can just have fun exploring...and learning and this show gives them the opportunity to explore and learn in an environment that they've probably not experience before --the ocean depths. To me the character voices are fine. It may be annoying to some, but hey its a kids program not an adults program.

You certainly cannot compare a PBS KIDS show to a Pixar movie creation but it's hard not to compare to what you already know with Nemo or Dory. The voices of the characters are probably the hardest thing to get around. Many children shows have went to casting children as the voices for characters. In Splash and Bubbles, these are clearly older voice actors trying to change their voices to fit these fish/animals and sounds forced and unnatural. The best adjective to describe it is "whiney" or sounding like "baby talk."These voices also make the singing and music difficult to bare. It's neither catchy or pleasant as you may find elsewhere like on Bubble Gubbles. This is a new show and I don't see it sticking around for long, and if it does - It's clearly do to a contract in place.Times have changed with animation. Recast the voices and we might give it another try.
