I randomly started to see this series one night, not knowing that I had read the book. Probably partly because of Amy Adams.
The acting is great from the whole cast, and the story is much better than the book in keeping the "who did it" less obvious - in the book it did not take too long to connect the events, and from then on, it was just a transport. Because of this, I did not find the book very good.
I'm wrting this review because of this - it is very rare, that the movie/series is better than the book.

Although it's a story that holds your attention, you have to have a lot of patience to wait in each episode for nothing happens.

Far too slow and boring . Real shame as the production is good, there's just no storyline ? Another snoozefest from Sky Atlantic along with Billions and Westworld. Let's hope they don't mess up season 2 of Little Big Lies , but I'm not feeling optimistic.

This is just cliched, miserable and indulgent. As another of your reviewers said. A broken woman; smoking, drinking, full of ennui, two dimensional, presents as a thoroughly unlikeable person and surrounds herself with equally empty characters. Am sure this is Amy Adams pitch for a slice of the pie 'big lies' gave her contemporaries but it would be a travesty if she got one. What happened to story telling which encouraged to connect with people? Awful, truly awful.
