It is not deep, but it is fun to watch. It does have a bit more of an edge to it than other similar films.

The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.

My sister was getting married in April of last year, to get ready for the big day we ended up stumbling on the main show "say yes to the dress" and then the atlanta version of it.I have been following it since and every now and then would binge on older episodes. Is it a perfect show? nope, you don't need a $10,000+ dress to be the "perfect bride". You can pick apart the show for being superficial or selling generic dresses as masterpieces but you know what that's in the title, it's telling you what's it about from just the title so move past that. There is a general niceness to the Atlanta version that's missing from the main show, you can see Lori and the staff trying hard to bottle their frustration and try their best to be "publicly polite" as my aunt puts it. even the cattiness is more fun then mean spirited or an attempt to create cheap drama (again like the main show)Lori is a joy to watch, the sales people all trying hard and most of the customers are either charming or fun to watch. The show's one draw back is Monte, the words trying too hard are all but stamped on his forehead...

Love the show; Lori and all her staff are sharp, caring and funny. Love the southern edge to it, even though I'm not a southerner...fun to see the family dynamics of the southern culture. Each episode explores the problems with making decisions about the most important dress and usually includes family emotions about what the bride should decide; when the bride finally comes to grips with her own desires about what is right for her (with the educated assistance of Lori and her staff) it is really more than a one time event. A bride can go from girl to woman with this decision and her world opens up and she can step up to a new level. It is fun and interesting to watch. The "entourage" is usually quite something to behold! Everything from a mother trying on a wedding dress for herself (she was also engaged to be married: so selfish and juvenile to take away from her daughter who was more mature than mom) to "friends" who actually insult the bride to be (jealous? must be!) Anyway, lots to watch and ponder. PS: yes, I like Monte too!! he's kind and funny.

I absolutely love this show. I started watching it during the planning stages of my sisters wedding and wound up getting hooked on it. The overview is basically girls come into the bridal shop "Bridals By Lori" to look for their perfect dress. Some girls have been shopping forever and others are just starting out but it usually ends with the super talented group of consultants knowing exactly what the bride is really looking for even if she doesn't know herself. The cast seem really lovely and also seem to care about the brides and making their wedding day perfect. Some of the brides and their families are crazy and drama-city but it makes for good television.I recommend you watch this show for entertainment value, what not to do when shopping for your wedding dress and also to witness some of the most stunning bridal gowns ever and some of the biggest train wrecks.
