Sabrina, the Teenage Witch Audience Reviews

GrimPrecise I'll tell you why so serious
Fairaher The film makes a home in your brain and the only cure is to see it again.
Matho The biggest problem with this movie is it’s a little better than you think it might be, which somehow makes it worse. As in, it takes itself a bit too seriously, which makes most of the movie feel kind of dull.
Zandra The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.
tapio_hietamaki I watched three seasons of 'Sabrina' as an adult and don't regret doing so. It's not 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' but it's fun, charming and harmless. This is a standard teen drama suitable for everybody. It's not brooding or mysterious, it doesn't really even have a story, it's just a collection of fun episodes about a 90's high school girl with magic powers, a talking cat and two crazy aunts.A TV show this simple just works. It's like 'Friends' - it doesn't need any flashy special effects, plot twists or long story arcs. It just needs light-hearted jokes and imaginative ideas, and 'Sabrina' delivers.
studioAT 'Sabrina, the Teenage Witch' is an odd show. Almost cartoonish in it's humour and yet a traditional audience based sitcom in other ways. For the first three series it was also crucially a good show. It was warm, it was funny, and the story lines were good. Mellissa Joan Hart demonstrated that she was a good comedienne and was ably supported by the two actresses playing her aunts, as well as the lovely Lindsay Sloane in seasons 2-3.Then it all went a bit sour. Hart was growing up and the show outgrew it's own premise of her being a 'teenage' witch. But with the network having a hit on its hands they weren't about to let it go, so we ended up with an almost spin-off show showing Sabrina at college dealing with the sort of teen issues that felt like they'd escaped from somewhere else.If you're wanting to see the show at its best, check out seasons 1-3.
tfremont I truly enjoy watching Sabrina the Teenage Witch. In a world full of horror films, teenage sex and drugs, and so much pier pressure to push the envelope and "Shock and Awe" everyone, it is so nice to sit down and watch such a wholesome show. And as so many people have noted, Sabrina is as cute as a button. This is a show that I let me 7 year old watch. And we both giggle over the crazy things that happen to Sabrina. Life is hard enough, and scary enough, and hectic enough that sometimes I can use a break from all of that. Every episode teaches a life lesson in a funny way. This is true family entertainmet. Especially since so many movies these days are touted as being family entertainment, but yet have so many references to sex that I can't quite watch them with my child yet. I wish there were more enjoyable shows like this available today. I enjoy it so much, I've bought the entire series on DVD. (Plus it's fun to imagine yourself as having magical powers like Sabrina...)
mitchlb452 I know sometimes its really really corny... But the acting is amazing and Melissa Joan Hart is as cute as a button. I love this show a lot, and I'm almost embarrassed that I do b/c the show has a rep. for being really corny, but it makes me feel good. My only problem is that sometimes it can be pretty low budget - sometimes actors change and you just have to deal with it... Like Sabrina's father is 2 different guys throughout the course of the movie... I mean, couldn't they just say he was an uncle or something? Still, I can't help but loving this show. Harvey and Sabrina make a really cute couple and Salem is absolutely hilarious. I definitely recommend it if your looking for some light and funny entertainment... My favorite episode is "Pancake Madness"... a HILARIOUS episode. The best season is probably 3... I'm not really a fan of some of the seventh season twists... Once you get to college, Morgan joins the group and her dialog is painful and very poorly acted... Plus she is ugly, so the jokes about how she is only surviving off her good looks were lost on me... But I think it was set up to have a really good eighth season and I was really sad to see one of my favorite shows canceled!
