It's no definitive masterpiece but it's damn close.

The film makes a home in your brain and the only cure is to see it again.

One of the most extraordinary films you will see this year. Take that as you want.

I have never seen a private investigative show that even comes close to a real PI. I have been a private investigator for 23 years and it is such a laugh when I see television trying to produce a show about a real PI. I'm often asked if I am like Magnum PI or Veronica Mars and my answer is always the same - No, I am a real PI who deals with real murders, real kidnapping, real threats towards my life and so much more. It's too bad television can't even come close to protarying a real life PI.

I'm not jumping on the 'Castle-lite' bandwagon. Had IMDb not killed the forums, you'd see that I started it after episode 1 of season 1 screened. In fact Private Eyes makes Castle look like a gritty police procedural, and without the charm of Nathan Fillion to help it along. I had it down as a cert to be cancelled after one season. But it wasn't, and I'm happy about that. It was and still is an entertaining and undemanding watch. It knows its place and that it will get a loyal audience.A word of caution to the team behind the show. Learn from Castle. The two leads must never get together.

I've watched many Canadian shows. Murdoch mysteries is still a favorite. This is another show sticking true to being Canadian, filmed in Toronto and they aren't pretending it's American! The humor is adorable. A lead woman that's not afraid to put her male counterparts in place. You've got the witty grandpa, sweet but smart daughter. With a twist she's blind. I feel like there is something for everyone. I find most TV shows today are dry and leave you feeling crappy. I actually look forward to this show and was so excited To hear it was renewed for a 2nd season! PLEASE keep it going. If you don't like this show. You aren't Canadian! :P

Agreeing with another observer, who commented about how so many movies/shows are made in Canada, primarily Toronto or Vancouver, playing off as New York or Seattle, respectively. Consider how many actors that are Canadian...SCTV, SNL. Lorne Michaels, John Candy, Dan Ackroyd, Dave Thomas, or others that honed their skills in Toronto like Bill Murray. Anyway, interesting show. Priestly is good. Sidekick is too. Have a nice day.
