It was OK. I don't see why everyone loves it so much. It wasn't very smart or deep or well-directed.

I wanted to like it more than I actually did... But much of the humor totally escaped me and I walked out only mildly impressed.

One of the film's great tricks is that, for a time, you think it will go down a rabbit hole of unrealistic glorification.

Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable

I miss this show a lot. It was very funny and much too short lived. It obviously got bashed a lot and was not as funny as the original movie series but then again that is always the case when you take a popular movie franchise then try to make a TV show based on it... TV shows never have the same budget and are usually missing all the big names stars and so on. This was funny though!

I still remember watching this show when I was a kid. It was really funny and enjoyable. 'Lois & Clark' and 'Police Academy' left me a very deep and wonderful impression. It's understandable that it was not very popular, since Friends pretty much got all the spot lights in comedy area. I gave it '8' since it brought me so many good memories. To be honest, it's a bit out of style, but still a lot better than some TV shows today, mostly those CW garbage. The theme song was identical to the film's and decently made. It's sad that most episodes or even clips are hard to find now.

Recently I saw Heather Campbell in a movie and thought she looked familiar. I looked her up and found out she was Annie on this wacky show. My favorite things about the show were the romance between Annie and Casey, and Casey's attempts to annoy his superiors. Sgt. Jones was back doing his crazy sound effects from the movies, the Tackleberry twins (nephews of the movie Tackleberry, so much alike though one was white and one black) were inseparable and hilarious, and what Luke lacked in brains he made up for in size. Helfinger, too dumb to be in charge of anything, somehow managed to run this place in a manner reminiscent of MASH's Col. Henry Blake. This was fun while it lasted, but I guess it didn't deserve to. We need shows like this from time to time.

I must say that this show is pretty bad. The creators probably meant well but it just isn't funny. You can't watch this show without first having seen the movies on which it was based. The only time the show becomes remotely funny is when one of the cadets or their instructors from the original academy makes a cameo. And that is why the funniest character on the show is Larvell Jones. It's nice to see that they at least kept him. But it's just not enough. One man can't make up for the flaws of the show. The jokes don't work too well, and the ensemble is mediocre. All in all, it's been done before and better, I might add, in the movies. Bring back Steve Guttenberg and make Police Academy 8. Anything is better than this!!
