Pawn Stars Audience Reviews

Evengyny Thanks for the memories!
Odelecol Pretty good movie overall. First half was nothing special but it got better as it went along.
ThedevilChoose When a movie has you begging for it to end not even half way through it's pure crap. We've all seen this movie and this characters millions of times, nothing new in it. Don't waste your time.
Ariella Broughton It is neither dumb nor smart enough to be fun, and spends way too much time with its boring human characters.
lessardjoseph-558-701267 I love the show and the history lessons learned in so many of the transactions. However, one episode got my blood boiling. When Corey purchased the WW2 Indian motorcycle, he said the french never fired a shot against the Germans and just surrendered. This is a slap in the face to the brave french who held the line so the British could cut and run. I am of French heritage. So I take it personal. The British were the ones who fled the battle without hardly doing any fighting. The French Air Force had its pilots also flying 5 sorties a day average. Basically they flew until they were shot down. In two places the French army held the line so the British could retreat, even losing a general in combat. They counter attacked against superior numbers. I hate this American impression that the french just threw down their arms and surrendered in 1940. It's far from the truth. The french navy also lost 123 ships in the battle, more than the British. The British leaders decided to abandon France and save their men for the battle of Britain. Sorry Corey. I had to give you a history lesson.
nyyb First off, in a lot of reviews of the show and shop, many people who have visited the shop are disappointed because they didn't see any of the four stars. Well, you won't see them. In an article I read about Rick, he says that "The privacy laws in Las Vegas prohibit any of the four of us working on the floor of our own store!!!" If they do appear, "all the people bring out their cameras and start shooting pictures", and that apparently is a violation of the laws. Now, about the show. I have watched almost every episode since it started. What I like about the show is all of the interesting and unusual items people bring in and the stories about them by Rick and the experts. So what if it's staged and a lot of the items are brought in from collections or other sources and the person pawning it was standing in line to get in a half hour ago. It's the objects themselves that are the stars. The silly banter between the stars was funny - The Old Man always had the best lines, and Chumlee was usually the target of many of their jokes. At the time I compared him to Gilligan - a nice guy who is always trying to do the right thing, but many times things just don't go his way. , Lately, over the last couple of seasons, Chumlee has changed from the likable guy to a rude, ignorant, obnoxious slob who does NOTHING but try to do as little work as possible, and get as much time off work as he can (even lying to the bosses to get it). He never follows his boss's instructions and thinks they should do things his way. He does nothing when he is in the shop other than keeping their security guard from doing his job with his stupid ideas or in the office telling Rick how he should run the shop.I cannot imagine anyone like that keeping any job anywhere for more than a day or two at most. He is also an inappropriate role model for all the kids who think he is funny. He has become so dislikable that instead of watching it, I tape it so I can fast-forward whenever he appears. Corey is becoming disliked too because he is becoming a smart-ass and does little other than run down his father. If you read reviews on other sites, an awful lot of people have got fed up with the young pair and have dumped the show. Get rid of Chumlee and their slumping ratings might start to rise.
bent-mathiesen I enjoy to watch the show, but only to learn about older stuff and what is unique about it, what it was for, the value, story. The 4 guys in the shop - painful, painful. Walk slow, over weighted, don't seen to care about anything. Only Rick is worth watching, ship any scene involving the others - and you save time, prevent your braincells from dying due to lack of stimulation.I give 3 for presenting interesting objects. The store=0, the negotiation of price 0, the intellects of the staffs 0.Forget about the selling part. Every scene is the same, boring. The estimate, history, authentication, value is the only interesting part - all the rest, .b.o.r.i.n.g.
David Trevino The 'added' production value and staged situations have become so ridiculous I am going to stop watching the series.I like the items, learning about the different things and seeing the pawn values, but the absolutely foolish, staged situations are childish and unbelievable. What kind of gullible person would think these 'plots' are even real. Add to that the Old Man's horrible acting and you have a recipe for a really lame TV show.Sorry, but I have spoken to many persons and the series has degraded so badly that it is not worth watching any longer.
