How sad is this?

Although it has its amusing moments, in eneral the plot does not convince.

The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.

By the time the dramatic fireworks start popping off, each one feels earned.

If there is one thing to be critical of with regard to this show, it is certainly not the comedy. The show was very funny, especially considering that it had to share time with small vignettes about families struggling with Autism. There is only a certain amount of humor that one can do when the next segment will be Jon Stewart, standing in front of a packed theatre, asking for money to start a school at Hunter College to teach teachers how to work with autistic children. This show can hardly be described as purely funny, this is true. However, it was one of the most effective fundraising specials since 9/11. Anyone who says it was horrible missed the big picture. It was certainly a blessing to families struggling with Autistic children and it gave hope for the future. In addition, it gave great information about how to donate.Certainly, the comedy on some level was below par. However, When you ask a comedian or actor to create a scene for an Autism Research benefit show, you are going to get a somewhat watered down version of themselves. To those who hated this show, you are wrong. Those who saw it and donated, you are a blessing to the cause. To the guy who said it sucked in the previous comment, in the words of Billy Madison "You know what? You suck!"

This was a horribly unfunny TV special. It was very Saturday Night Live like and Saturday Night Live isn't funny. All that is was were stupid SNL characters and unfunny "original" skits. I still can't believe Jon Stewart actually agreed to be in this. Way to good for him. He deserves better. He made what The Daily Show is today. The same goes for Jack Black, Kevin Nealon, Dana Carvey and Tim Meadows. This special had some really stupid people in it too like David Spade and Macauly Culkin and Mike Meyers. Completely unfunny morons who are famous for no good reason. One of the worst comedy specials ever made! Please stop showing it Comedy Central.
