zodiac12 I've just watched 15 minutes of this show and had to turn it off. It's the most disgusting, offensive portrayal of materialism I've ever seen. I can't believe that MTV thought it would be a good idea to endorse this crap to impressionable, young minds.In my 15 minutes of horror, I witnessed a 16 year old girl purchase a £25,000 watch, an equally expensive chain and a £10,000 ring, all because her friends expect her to be "dripping in diamonds" on her birthday. At a gourmet restaurant she told her friends that she didn't want losers, chavs or ugly people at her party and to make an entrance, (when it came to inviting her adoring friends), her father rented a helicopter for her, so she could fly into her Mansion. MTV portrayed this as something positive and special. I would be ashamed if that was my daughter. No wonder so many children are desperate to be rich and famous, and so many young girls want to marry footballers (as their career!!), rather get a degree and expand their minds. The ambitions of our young are going down the toilet and MTV is partly responsible for that. They produce more and more shows like The Hills, Lacuna (or something) Beach, Cribs and My Super Sweet 16 and all it does is glamorize greed and excess. It's poor programming and I can't believe that a channel I used to watch religiously and be inspired by, would sink this low 15 years later.

Mileena_Skarlet I have heard about this show for a while and one day, I decided to watch some episodes of My Super Sweet 16. It's a pretty interesting concept for a reality show. I am turning 16 in four weeks and it's intriguing what types of parties these rich girls/boys have. Speaking of gender, why are there episodes about a guy having have a Sweet 16 or whatever? Last time I've checked, none of my brothers had ever had a 'Sweet 16' or whatever the hell these boys have. They just had a family party and cake. I consider myself pretty lucky that my parents can afford to throw me a Sweet 16 party. I don't care if it doesn't have celebrities or if I don't get a car, as long as I have a decent party. The only thing that bugs me about this shows, is that these kids are so bratty and ungrateful for the things they've got. I cannot even believe that there are people out there who are like this. Okay, fine, I'm lazy as hell at home and I ask my parents for money and I don't have a job yet. However, I appreciate a lot of things my parents do for me and I happen to get good grades in school. My least favorite episode is with the two Indian girls. The younger one needed a huge slap on the face...taking away an invite for 'touching a divine human being? Please.But otherwise, it's an pretty entertaining show and I can't wait to see Exiled.

rachel-may What the hell is that show..This is basically what American teenagers looks like...This how MTV portrays them..wow... Laguna Beach does the same thing...All spoiled teenagers which the prize of the things they own is sometimes mistaken for their phone numbers!...They look like those women that freaks out on their wedding day!..You know the TV show..They don't know how fortunate they are and They dare to complain...i live in Canada and to me that is a culture shock If this how teen girls are......well...they would feel like living in a Survivor in Canada...we are not poor..not at all...But come on...this is ridiculous and even pitiful...poor parents...Its probably the worst TV reality show ever!

TiNA3 I think it's really mean for people to say all this junk about these people! I mean dudes they're excited. And like happy about their parties A lot of these people are not even like that!BUT I THINK THEY COULD SHOW THEIR PARENTS MORE RESPECT !!!Anywho i think being rich is Juicy"ha ha". I think people are really just jealous of these people because they could never do anything like these people do. I think everyone should just get a life get over it you're not rich THEY ARE. Your not hot & spoiled THEY ARE. The show just really show's how rich they are and just basically I mean just stop hating and GET ON THEIR LEVEL.
