If you like satire and understand the dating scene when going out, I think you'll enjoy this show. It isn't a realistic depiction if what happens but shows you the funny side of things when meeting new people or running into ex's.A lot of reviews say it is dumb, bad, and without content. The entertainment that comes from this is subtle, reading in between the lines, and understanding everything behind it.I can agree with them on one thing, it is a simplistic view of night life. I love it as it basically makes fun of it. So if you go out at night and have a good amount of experience mingling with the opposite sex, I think you'll find those show a funny way of passing the time.

I would have given this series a 9,4 out of 10 because of the smart and enjoying comedy. We all have these friends or we are like these people so we recognize things about ourselves in them. This is a series about people trying to get laid in a bar. They all use different methods and all have different personalities but the bottom line is to get laid before last-call. So if we go through the men, the series has one guy who doesn't know anything about women, one who thinks he knows everything, one who truly believes you can find "the one" (and he has many times...), one hot bartender who simply lives without thinking because there's no need and one rich guy who lost most of his money and is now doing online dating. They all choose a girl fairly quickly but no one is sure since they seem to find a connection with other people as well. So some guys seem to get more than one girl and some seem to get none and we'll see who ends up with who.(didn't feel like going through the girls since they are too complicated)

I have no idea why some people are bashing on the show so hard. I absolutely loved it and I'm sad it got canceled. I went into it intending to try it out for an episode and ended up watching the whole season in one sitting. I'm also surprised to say that I ended up watching it all again the very next night with a friend. I don't really know how that happened but it wasn't a problem with me. Anyways, I just want the creators, cast, and crew of the show to know that I enjoyed it very much and hope to see more in the future. There were definitely some clever bits in there and it had an overall good-feel, very much like hanging at a bar for the night.

So I just finished watching this and... I feel empty. This has to be one of the best shows I've ever seen and not to mention, funniest. When I found out that there wouldn't be a second season, a part of me died. I get that this show revolves around ONE night, but one does not simply make a great first season to then just stop. I couldn't care less about all the negativity this show has received. Apparently it's a lot easier to just row down the mainstream by criticizing Mixology rather than watching the whole thing. People are so closed-minded these days. I know it has a lot of offensive jokes, but in all honesty this is what goes down in a bar, what did you people really expect?PS. I'm so sad that Ron and Liv didn't get together, but I'm pretty sure that when she got back from that India-trip they would find their way back to each other.
