Am i the only one who thinks........Average?

I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.

The film may be flawed, but its message is not.

Watching it is like watching the spectacle of a class clown at their best: you laugh at their jokes, instigate their defiance, and "ooooh" when they get in trouble.

Quirky, a little out there, and weird characters that grow on you. A nice change of comedy where you can't predict the episode or action or dialogue.
Sound track and music is pretty cool

I use to be a great fan of British comedies, but they seem to have written themselves into pretty much the same old characters. This show is no different than Doc Martin who is an unrealistic character and lives in a village/town with overly exaggerated quirky characters. The same goes for this show, some of the characters come across as real and odd, but some of the others just ridiculously overdone to the point of being childish pantomime. You often seen the same actors appearing in various British dramas/comedies as if there aren't any others available. Greg Davies is very animated and reminds me of a 12 year old boy showing off to his family and friends. You know the kind, "watch me, watch me". I think he should branch out a bit and write more versatile things. The Brits seemed to think poo and farts is just the funniest thing. It could be if done properly. I am disappointed in the standard of British comedy it seems to have lost its way.

Rik Mayell RIP was 56 when he died in 2014. Only 10 years age difference between he and Greg Davies. How could he have realistically played his dad?Maybe make-up and a bit of suspended belief but anything is possible. My friend is a huge fan of anything British, drama, comedy, reality TV, talk shows. you get the picture. So she recommended this series to me. Not sure if I am a fan. I tend to like my comedy less slap stick and more nuanced. Monty Python is a favorite, Little Britain is high on my lst as well.Maybe I will give it a closer look after a while. But for now I am moving on.

As there are no reviews for Man Down i thought i might get it started. Man Down is a good new Chanel 4 comedy staring Greg Davies from the Inbetweeners. It started off brilliantly with huge laughs, but by episode 3 it has lost its touch. Episodes 1 & 2 Were very well written and incredibly funny but episode 3 seems to have lost its touch. Some scenes were funny but the rest of the episode seemed like it was written last minute. Rik Mayall plays a brilliant part as the Dad who constantly plays practical jokes on his son. Overall i will still watch but i cant see a second series coming anytime soon'6/10
