Such a frustrating disappointment

In truth, there is barely enough story here to make a film.

To all those who have watched it: I hope you enjoyed it as much as I do.

One of the most extraordinary films you will see this year. Take that as you want.

This is a good show, definitely the most appropriate Disney show yet, and the only one that's completely worry-free. Unfortunately, the new episodes aren't that enjoyable. In Season 1, it was seemingly like the version of Good Luck Charlie I actually enjoy (was never a huge fan of Good Luck Charlie). Now in Season 2, it's starting to fall apart with more unrealisticness, nasty moments, etc. so that cost the show 2 stars for me. The show also loses 2 stars for Benjamin King (the dad)'s inability to effectively act - his expressions may change, but the tone of his voice is always "bored." The expressions just don't meet the tone of his voice. But Dove Cameron's noteworthy charisma never leaves me hanging.

This show is terrible, I can't even bear a second watching its retardedness. All it has is 2 dumb blonde twins and a family doing stupid and retarded crap that I'm pretty sure nobody would wanna see EVER. I laughed so hard, my tummy started hurting from too much laughter when its rating fell from a 6.9/10 to a SIX point SEVEN out of 10. I can't wait until it falls down to a 1.9/10, which is probably gonna take ages unless they decide to do the same thing with The Oogieloves in the Big Balloon Adventure (They made 11,764 spam bots to give it a 10/10, but I hope that many spam bots give Liv and Maddie a 1/10, same thing with Jessie, Austin & Ally, A.N.T. Farm, etc.).

I am appalled that people can find a show like this to be "The Worst of the Worse", "Disney's Weak Link", or have "Horrible Over-Acting from lead". I do not feel the acting on this show is bad at all. I've seen people at TV.com say the acting is complete crap but I don't agree. I feel Dove Cameron does an excellent job distinguishing Liv from Maddie to the point that you don't even notice it's the same person playing both roles. People also say they hate the catchphrases on this show like they hate Maddie's "Bam! What?!" but I think it's cute. I realized Liv actually has three and I like all of them: Dazzleberry, yaysies, and bling-a-ding-ding. I also like how even though they're polar opposites with completely different interests, they're "Sisters by chance, friends by choice". It makes it a lot like The Fox and the Hound (which is the best movie ever!) As for it being the weak link, I could not agree less with that either. This is the best show Disney Channel has given us since Good Luck Charlie, and the best show currently on air. I find this show to have more heart, humor, and entertainment value in just one episode alone than the Mickey Mouse Cartoons have in all episodes combined. To Deanna Tresmith, I do not think Liv is a stuck-up brat. And the episode you are talking about, Shoe-A-Rooney, did not have a moral about trying to change someone. Liv was just trying to make Maddie try something new and it got out of hand. Liv even had to destroy the pumps just to get Maddie back to normal. It reminded me of the episode of SpongeBob, "Just One Bite", in which Squidward tries a Krabby Patty and pretends to hate it, but the truth is he loves them. Maddie was the same way about her perfect pumps. She claimed to hate them, and even went as far as pretending to be sick just so she could hide her love for them. But the shoes completely took over Maddie's personality. She even thought she was a shoe-loving sparkly girl. It's like the shoes hypnotized her into thinking she's just like Liv. But I loved the episode because it just goes to show that while you may not want to try something new, you may end up loving it anyway. Just like the SpongeBob episode Just One Bite. Another thing I like about this show is there have been two references to Charlotte's Web (my second favorite movie, and that's referring to the original but I love both versions and even the sequel). The first was in Steal-A-Rooney, where Parker mentioned he used to have a hamster named Templeton (obviously a reference to Templeton the Rat from the classic book and the movies). And in Move-A-Rooney Karen mentions that Liv freaked out after being read the first three pages of the classic book (it's her loss, it's an excellent novel and movies). Then they referenced another one of my favorite Disney movies in the episode Moms-A-Rooney. Maddie says at one point in the episode to Karen and Liv "You keep this dream alive!". It's a reference to the song Once Upon a Time in New York City from Oliver & Company (my favorite song of all time and my favorite Disney soundtrack). In the song, sung by Huey Lewis, it says "Keep your dream alive, dreamin' is still how the strong survive." And in Howl-A-Rooney, it reminded me of The Jungle Book with it having a girl raised by wolves. I cannot understand why this show is hated so much from TV.com. It has a 5.5/10 rating there just like Rabbids Invasion. This show is so much better than that crap. I'd be like if they rated SpongeBob the same as Breadwinners. But even with SpongeBob that would be KIND OF justified, because of the new episodes. This show however is solid all the way.Rating: 9.75/10 A nearly flawless show.UPDATE ON JULY 8: I was checking for new reviews and just saw the review "Disney's Weak Link" is no longer on here. I wonder why? Even though I disagree with it, they still have a right to their opinion. I mean that's the whole point of this site, right? Also, Rabbids Invasion is down to 5.3 at TV.com. But this show still needs to go up. WAY up. I remember at first Rabbids was rated 1.7 while this show was rated EIGHT point seven. That's the way it SHOULD be. Rabbids Invasion is stupid! And boring, and plot less, and pointless, and has NOTHING on this show.UPDATE ON JULY 14: We're down to 5.2 for Rabbids Invasion. And in three days Sam & Cat is officially over! I just wish we could get rid of the other crappy shows currently on Nick...UPDATE ON JULY 24: Don't listen to the two latest reviews saying this show is as bad as Breadwinners or The Oogieloves. So far I've found SIX accounts give this show a 1 but they give crappy stuff like Fanboy and Chum Chum or Johnny Test 10. They even gave The Jungle Book and Toy Story 3 1s! Are these people being trolls on purpose? I think they're copying every time I said The Oogieloves should swap ratings with Gordy, by saying this show should swap with Breadwinners or Uncle Grandpa or Fanboy and Chum Chum. These accounts should be banned for being utter idiots. Even if they did give The Ooggieloves a 1. I think they're trying to mix reasonable ratings with ones that should not be legal. Like mixing 1/10 for Toy Story 3 with 1/10 for The Oogieloves. Or mixing 10/10 for Breadwinners with 10/10 for something good like Lilo & Stitch or Frozen.

Honestly, I don't get any of the hate I've seen with this show. There's a couple of small moments where at least one of the actors will overact in an episode but I don't notice it too much. What honestly interests me most about the show is Dove Cameron as both twins. I wish there could be more of a sisterly bond present in the show because I saw the first episode and I found myself really loving it. I loved how even though Liv is a star fresh out of Hollywood, she doesn't come back as someone over the top, filled with glamour and attitude. That's to be a bit expected and I understand that with other characters on TV that are like that. But I just love how surprisingly sweet she is and Maddie is alright too. Her catchphrase a little but too much but it thankfully hasn't gotten on my nerves yet. The twins are, of course, what make the show. Usually you can find the side characters to be better but I just find the stars of the show to actually be the most interesting. I've watched some of the episodes out of order but I still think it's good and has a few more funny moments and I feel like it should be given more of a chance. Just because the show is colorful and isn't some "sitcom" that's really a half an hour PSA, doesn't mean it's not good.
