wilmcg I first started watching this series, the one they produced in UK/London, first. I saw it listed on Netflix. I liked it very much, it had that mixture of perfect humor and action. And, the actors/actresses where excellent! The last decent thing I have seen on American TV was "The Closer", which has now been changed to "Major Crimes", OK, but not as good. I could not believe they canceled the series. (But, I still have not got over BBC canceling Ballykissangel, they must have idiots, making these decisions.)I was glad that they decided to do a USA / New York version, it was just as good! With excellent actors/actresses. Now, that series has been canceled, too! The same idiots, must have immigrated to the US.

NoMoreRanting great cast, basically exact same storyline as the British version. But after that all comparisons cease. The British version is raw and for the most part uncensored. the terminology that Lieutenant Gene Hunt is able to use funnier and real, than the American censored prudish version.if you like this show watch the British version first and you will not waste your time with the American version.From this point forward stop reading as I am just writing line filler so that IMDb will let me submit my comments. they require you to write 10 lines to say something that takes 6 lines. This show is not as good as the British version period, but I can't just say that I have to write all this crap.Nomore Ranting

chunkylover_34 I always get addicted to shows that get canceled. Normally I never rent or buy television series on DVD unless they truly interest me. The shows I have rented and/or bought on DVD have consisted of the following; Family Guy, Burn Notice, Black Donnleys, Brotherhood, and Life on Mars, it is a pretty bad track record. The only problem with the show is the series finally seemed a bit slapped together, otherwise I thought the show was brilliant. It had all the elements that I love in shows (police procedural, 70's style action, science fiction and yes a bit of romance) however, the show was hybrid enough that it worked well together. What is really gonna kill me is if I don't see the British version of the show.
