Good concept, poorly executed.
Sexyloutak
Absolutely the worst movie.
Kaelan Mccaffrey
Like the great film, it's made with a great deal of visible affection both in front of and behind the camera.

The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.

I saw the TV reboot before I saw the original movies and the show does a great job of incorporating the elements that made the movies awesome. The show still stands on its own even if the movies didn't exist.
The chemistry between everyone is pretty much perfect especially between Murtaugh and Riggs, so I'm not sure how its going to play out with Crawford not returning for season 3. Riggs is a nuanced, multi dimensional character that Crawford plays so well, its like hes not acting at all. He needs to be brought back.
They are able to progress the story line of the characters in a funny, sometimes sad, but always full of action way without being too "bad guy of the week" formulaic. The first two seasons are 10/10.

I do like the show as is but... I wouldn't call the main pair's chemistry ideal. As we now know that is very much caused by the fact that in reality it really really isn't and that would just get worse with time on screen. The other thing is that Crawford's Riggs seems a bit tamed to me. I felt Gibson's Riggs was more emotional and he pushed the boundaries a bit more. Not only towards the tragic direction but also the comedic one. He was simply put a bit more bipolar. And this wild card attribute is something I feel Scott could improve for the show as he has a bit more "crazy" in his acting. We shall see! I am looking forward to the 3rd season

Clayne Crawford is THE reason to watch this show. Period. Was hesitant to watch this series because of my love for the movie. Clayne Crawford NAILED the role of Martín Riggs. Apparently, his success rubbed Damon Wayans the wrong way, and WB chose to go with the "bigger star". Shame. They had HUGE potential with Clayne. They bet on the wrong horse. Show will fail. Clayne will go on to succeed and DW will continue to be irrelevant. Removed series from the DVR. On to the next!
