Not sure how, but this is easily one of the best movies all summer. Multiple levels of funny, never takes itself seriously, super colorful, and creative.

The biggest problem with this movie is it’s a little better than you think it might be, which somehow makes it worse. As in, it takes itself a bit too seriously, which makes most of the movie feel kind of dull.

A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.

It's more like this show was created by Satan himself.
This show is filled with immorality almost literally every minute of every episode. Murder, sex, betrayal, affairs, substance abuse, adultery, lying, deceit, and on and on. Lots of gay sex and gay sex portrayal than anything else. Seems the writers/directors are gay and want to shove it down the throats of viewers - pun intended. It's really sickening. We forward our way through every episode as every single episode MUST HAVE gay interaction.
Seems there's too much glorification of evil acts and behavior on TV nowadays that this show appeals to many. I gave it 1 star solely for the law part which is the only good part. Otherwise, please tell me what exactly is the message or are the messages that this show is supposed to send out to our youth and adults in general??

WOW. That's the first word that comes to mind when I think of this show. So many absolutely breathtaking twists and turns that will leave you glued and wanting so much more. Let me just say that this show is so far from reality, it's insane. I'm pretty sure almost everything on this show is so far-fetched and ridiculous, but who cares? I sure don't. This show can so totally get away with it. I watch it for the amazing and gripping story it tells. You'll always be asking and wondering who is guilty, who is innocent, and who is dead. The #1 thing that I love about this show is the directing and acting. Viola Davis is a freakin' QUEEN. She acts the hell out of her scenes. It's so amazing to witness and experience her amazing talent. Her talent alone is reason enough watch the show. She steals and slays every scene she's in. It's powerful.I also love the cinematography. I sometimes feel like I'm watching a movie. It only adds to the dramatic appeal. The music also has the power to really correlate with the moments on-screen. It's amazing.Lastly, I totally love all the time jumps. They clue you in to what is coming next, but the truth is you can never really expect what is coming, which is what makes this show so amazing. Then, when you find it all out and see the pieces connect, it can really be mind-blowing.I think it's safe to say that this show is one of my favorites. I also love that, through the years, it has been able to stay true to its written roots. To anyone watching or considering watching: don't expect accuracy or realism. You will get nothing like that here. Instead, expect an emotional, twisty-turny thrill ride that will have you gasping for air, screaming from shock, and maybe even crying from trying to digest all that is happening. Try it and tell me you don't love it!I give "How to Get Away with Murder" a 9.0/10.

I'm just finishing season 2 of HTGAWM and I have enjoyed it so far, but the thing that bugs me every episode is how PC it is. If 10% of the population in the world is gay then I find it to be quite a coincidence that four of the characters are gay. That number of gay people in this small space of characters is nothing but pure political correctness.
Black woman in power, annoying white boys, middle aged white man that we are meant to dislike, a large number of the lawyers seen are women, majority of the judges are women and when there is a male lawyer he either fails or is part guilty himself.
Just to be clear, I'm not against black women. I'm not against homosexual people. I'm not against women in general. This is just full of PCishness which might piss some people off.

My wife loves this show. I have learned to be okay with it despite cringe-worthy writing and acting. As a lawyer, I am especially critical of the way it portrays the profession. The cast is constantly breaking rules of ethics in ways that no lawyer would. They would all be disbarred and in jail. The way that the show portrays the practice of law is absurd and an insult to the profession.Much like a soap opera, the drama is manufactured dreck and the acting is often over the top. There isn't much nuance to the show. They throw you one crazy far-fetched scenario after the other without any regard to consistency in the story or characters. Plots are rarely set up with any care, any plot line that runs into a corner is simply forgotten or bailed out by a deus ex machina. It's a sloppy show that is only watchable because of the constant cliffhangers that always promise but rarely deliver.
