Wow! Such a good movie.

The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one

Exactly the movie you think it is, but not the movie you want it to be.

The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.

The show is ok except the Melanson family who leave guns within reach of there child and bring their kid trapping in the freezing cold they strap her and the gun over their back its insane! They take risks like walk over half melted lakes with her in tow and also let her out of their sight and even lost her for a few mins. They also shot a gun with her on their back. It is child endangerment and should be reported to local police.

Spoiler alert!I watched this with my husband who is an experienced trapper and it was so fake. No one goes unprepared into the bush with a 2 year old child and put them in danger. This so called trappers had said they had been trapping for 5 years but the woman made a huge mistake. Even I an inexperienced trapper knows that situation's can change day to day and even hour to hour.

This is by far the most ridiculous depiction of seasoned and green trappers / hunters I have ever seen, Ever! I can only imagine these people signed a deal with the devil, and were led astray by the director of the show. As a lifelong hunter and trapper. The situations are ridiculous, (deadly dangerous) for people who know better! For seasoned trappers or green. Awful only begins to say what I see. I felt like vomiting and cringing all at the same time. You want to see real men, Real intelligent tough trappers? View -(Happy People)- A year in the Taiga! Repulsed is a better description for this series. Jonathan Dexter
