if their story seems completely bonkers, almost like a feverish work of fiction, you ain't heard nothing yet.
Robert Joyner
The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one

Gossip Girl is an American teen drama television series. Narrated by the omniscient blogger « Gossip Girl », the series revolves around the frictional lives of privileged upper-class adolescents living in Manhattan's Upper East Side.In the first place, when I heard about this series, I didn't want to watch it, not even try. But last year when I was chilling on Netflix, wondering what I could watch, I just seen the picture of a blond and a brown girl and I said « why not, let's try! ». And I didn't think I would like it at first, but god I was wrong! I've seen this show again and again (6 seasons), this is genius! I was sad that Desperate Housewives has finished but I found this new show with news girls, news stories and intrigues. I really wish theses shows would never ended! The series begins with the return of Upper East Side teenage "it" girl Serena van der Woodsen from a "mysterious absence". Gossip Girl reveals that Serena has been away at boarding but not everyone welcomes Serena back to Manhattan with open arms. Blair Waldorf, whom creators describe as being the queen bee of Constance Saint Jude, she also happens to be the childhood "best friend" and occasional rival of Serena van der Woodsen. The story also follows scholarship student and aspiring writer Dan Humphrey who lives in Brooklyn and is a self-described "outsider", Nate Archibald, the so-called "golden boy", who was Blair's childhood sweetheart and first love, and Chuck Bass, the womanizing, "bad boy" who is part of "Manhattan's elite". Other characters of the turbulent Manhattan scene include Dan's childhood best friend Vanessa Abrams ; Jenny Humphrey : Dan's rebellious adolescent sister; Lily van der Woodsen, Serena's mother, Rufus Humphrey, former Lily's former lover and Dan and Jenny's father. I got so hooked with this show, it has so many twists and turns, you can try to guess what will happen next, but you'll never know! And it makes you so addictive with theses amazing stories, dramas. And obviously, the cast is gorgeous! In one moment you can hate one character because of something (Chuck at the very beginning of the series, when he was a dumb ass womanizer) and in the other moment that one is great (when he fell in love with Blair). Ed Westwick (Chuck) plays so well and makes the character very attractive. Plus: the setting: NY, Manhattan, Upper East Side and Central Park. So many details that make you want to jump in an airplane to JFK right away! Even if I've already watched the entire show and know what's gonna happen, I can't help to watch it over and over again. It's probably written for young people, but that doesn't mean adults can't watch it. It's funny, clever, exciting, addicting and you fall in love with the rich upper class life. I really recommend it, 9/10 because I resent the producers for finishing the show so early haha

An addictive and tricky show. The story line can be heinous and piss the hell out of you but you can't deny how great the show's idea is and how all the characters and clothes match so well. I hate and love this show. It makes me feel variating emotions and it's kinda scary and funny at the same time. It's also interesting to think who the anonymous blogger aka Gossip Girl is. Catchy and gets you hooked up but prepare for the strong temperamental you are about to have ;D

My first review because I just had to get it out there. Now, the first season was great. It was a refreshing show from the usual shows that I watch. The second season kicked in, it slowly started to irritate me. It only got worse from there. I started to see something that I hated. The fact that rubbish people like Serena and Blaire almost seem untouchable. Nothing really 'bad' happens to them. They always somehow get what they want. The show goes in circles with the same characters. If a new character gets introduced, just know they won't last long. They seem to get into college and pass subjects without studying or even taking school seriously too. Serena and Blaire can pretty much do whatever they want and get away with it. Everyone forgives so easily.. So easily that's it's just ridiculous. You'll probably Laugh at that sort of junk. Lily is such a rubbish mother. She accepts all the rubbish Serena does. Roofus and Vanessa have no dignity whatsoever. If a relationship is rubbish, leave. Simple. The show gets predictable..very predictable. It's not the worst show but it's also very irritating which explains my rating. I couldn't wait to get it over with. If I knew the show was this annoying from the start, I would have left it. Chuck, Nate and Jenny are the only reasons I kept to the show, they mature over time in the show and aren't annoying. Dan, he becomes an idiot later on. Get ready for it if you plan on watching this thing. Get ready for the ridiculous ride this is
