The best films of this genre always show a path and provide a takeaway for being a better person.

It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.

This movie tells us the story about Einstein in the first season and Picasso in the second season. The second season is full of seaxy actions which foucuses more on Picasso 's personal life. I personally think this is not good enough. We should pay more attention to his achievements. The first season is better than the second season, and it is also what I know more. However, starting with secy actions that Eisntein is making love with his secretary is also not good. There are also too many others like this. This makes this movie look like a soap opera. It is not serious enough. Do you think this will draw more attention? There are also something inaccurate. For instance, that girl asking math questions to Einstein in the last episode. The time is not right. Some switch from the past to present soemtimes makes people puzzled. People have to read more resources so they can really understand this. The good point is that the story is inspiring.

(Written after Season 2)The life stories of some of history's most talented individuals. From their days as young adults to their final years we see their endeavours, their relationships, their causes, their flaws and their genius.Ambitious series, produced by Ron Howard. Season 1 was quite illuminating, showing the great Albert Einstein, warts and all. Showed very well the curiosity and intelligence that made him so great, plus also his colourful, and often-troubled, private life.In exploring his life we also are confronted by some of the terrible aspects of the period in which he lived - WW1 and WW2, Nazism, J Edgar Hoover and the communist witch-hunts of the late-40s/early- 50s.Geoffrey Rush was wonderful as Einstein in later life. Johnny Flynn as the younger Einstein was less good, but not terrible. The fake German accent didn't help. The earlier material was less good, being more a basic linear story while the later stuff had more emotional depth to it. So Rush had better material to work with than Flynn.Season 2, on Picasso, was not anywhere near as good. Just felt dry and unengaging. Maybe I can relate to scientists more than artists, but I much preferred Season 1.

It really amazes me that people come onto sites like IMDb and write reviews of TV series based on incomplete viewing. Surely common sense dictates that you watch the entire series before offering an opinion?I digress. I found this series captivating. Of course, you could be picky about some things, such as Rush looking older than a middle-aged Einstein would have, but that is to completely miss the point of the series. The aim was to inform the viewer about the life and essence of the man, not create an absolutely 100% accurate set of mannequins of Einstein. In that regard, the series succeeds admirably. Einstein's remarkable ability to view the most complex ideas in such simple terms (to him!) shines through. The two actors who play the younger (Johnny Flynn) and older (Geoffrey Rush) Einstein are superb. The supporting cast is exceptionally good, with great performances all-round.Einstein is presented, warts and all. His sexual dalliances, his problem with authority and his determination to plough his own furrow were all part of what made him the man he was. Those who complain about the odd sex scene or two are missing the point, too. They were hardly graphic and served to indicate the importance, or otherwise, of certain women in his life.I absolutely recommend this series to all and I am looking forward to Season 2, about Picasso.
