Ray Barone is a successful sportswriter living on Long Island with his wife Debra, daughter Ally, and twin sons, Geoffrey and Michael. That's the good news. The bad news? Ray's meddling parents, Frank and Marie, live directly across the street and embrace the motto "Su casa es mi casa," infiltrating their son's home to an extent unparalleled in television history.

Everybody Loves Raymond Audience Reviews

Steineded How sad is this?
Intcatinfo A Masterpiece!
Fleur Actress is magnificent and exudes a hypnotic screen presence in this affecting drama.
Scarlet The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.
Eric Martens This truly is the bottom of the barrel as far as sitcoms go. What mindless drivel. So unoriginal, boring, and predictable. It's the same storyline every single episode. Ray the wimpy dopey husband lets his wife walk all over him while Ray's parents barge in (ever heard of locking the door?) and the mother in law criticizes Debra's cooking or gives a backhanded compliment about the house being clean. Meanwhile, the father sits on the chair in front of the TV with his pants unzipped bashing Ray's sons and his own sons Ray and Robert for having homosexual tendencies. Then the mopey giant cop brother Robert comes over and complains about how everyone prefers his brother Raymond. My parents used to watch this on TV Land every night and thank god they stopped. Even King of the Queens which is a very mediocre run of the mill sitcom is comedic gold compared to this steaming pile of horse crap. This has to be the most overrated sitcom of all time along with Friends, Big Bang Theory, and How I Met Your Mother. I'll stick to watching sitcoms like Seinfeld, the Office, and Family Guy.It truly is a wonder to me how this garbage managed to stay on air for 9 years and what's even more mind boggling is how many people actually thought this was funny enough to keep tuning in for 9 years. But then again Americans were stupid enough to elect Reagan, Bush, and Trump president so who am I kidding? Probably the most baffling, disturbing, and annoying part of this show is the cliche dumb doormat husband and the genius housewife who is never satisfied. You sit at home all day while your husband goes to work and makes good money so you have no room to complain. I cannot fathom how she can be so negative all the time.Anyway, if you have half a brain avoid this show at all costs. But if you hate your own life or like femdom then this is the show for you.
Viral Kothari Best shows of life time, and best of all time I have seen so far till date. Wish we have new seasons. Love Ray, Debra, Frank, Marrie and last but not the least Robert. Everybody has given their best performance and they deserve all the credit, fame and money they have earned and earning. Of course, the twins and Alley has done fabulous job. Sad to know that one the twin got died recently. But seriously loving this show. Needless to say, EVL is one of those shows which has got regional versions in each country and that too did super hit. In India, I have seen sarabhai vs sarabhai, known to be inspired by EVL and I love that as well. Ray romano has great acting skills along with other members. Each and every member in the show has done exceptionally well.
Luke Koumoullos Where to start with this sitcom. I've watched all 210 episodes back to front ever since my father introduced me to it. For those that don't know, Everybody Loves Raymond is about a Sports Writer and his wife and three kids along with his protective mother and cynical father across the street, as well as his big brother who is a cop. The characters consist of five strong mains, Raymond, Debra, Robert, Marie and Frank, but the script is so well written that any character that is introduced provides laughs. The last series' innuendos and inside jokes get a little tiresome, but it is still nothing short of excellent. The one thing that upset me about the show is Peter Boyle(Who plays Frank)'s health decline is distinctly clear in the last two or three series, as he was suffering from cancer. Bless his heart. To conclude, Everybody Loves Raymond is a thrill ride, and the youngsters of today who downgrade this excellent show must learn to understand classic sitcoms. 54 award wins. Satisfied?
jaywensley2004 One of the sickest TV shows ever. The character of Marie Barone is a textbook of neuroticism and character disorders and none of the people she victimizes ever confronts her to lasting effect or makes the healthy choice of cutting her out of their life. While the show was often funny when the story involved the other characters, any episode which focused on the behavior of Marie Barone would find its laughs in the near sociopathic behavior of a character so emotionally dangerous to those around her that her character represents a low-point in television writing. Worse, the writers continually found ways to make the other characters accommodate this viciously ill woman, as again and again they would lay themselves out as willing victims of her manipulations. Disturbing television. Laughs at the expense of mental illness. And the show won numerous Grammys. Very disturbing...
