Good story, Not enough for a whole film
TrueHello
Fun premise, good actors, bad writing. This film seemed to have potential at the beginning but it quickly devolves into a trite action film. Ultimately it's very boring.

The movie's not perfect, but it sticks the landing of its message. It was engaging - thrilling at times - and I personally thought it was a great time.
Guillelmina
The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.

You know exactly why you tune into Dog eat dog each weekend on GSN - Brooke burns is a sexy lady and watching women swim in their bikinis (and if you're a lady, watching all the fit and thin guys go shirtless.) generally, the only reason Dog Eat Dog was so popular, was it's sex appeal. You cannot deny it.And if any of you caught my older review of this, I wrote it at the tender age of 14. I was a stupid, brainwashed, sheltered teen who should've had a less radical Christian upbringing. The game goes as follows - 3 guys and 3 girls are sent to a camp to get to know each other in multiple categories, and the next day they're brought to the studio to play the game. depending on whom they believe is weak for the challenges that are laid out for them, they must vote out a specific person for that challenge, until it is down to 2 of the contestants, who go head to head, in which the winner faces all the eliminated contestants in the "Dog Pound" and he or she must pick the eliminated contestants to answer the questions. if the dog pound gets 3 questions right, they each win $5,000 where if they get 3 questions wrong, the last contestant standing wins $25,000.Back when the show debuted, I had just turned 12 and pretty much went bonkers over the show. any 12 year old hitting puberty would love to watch women 10 years his senior strip down to bikinis (and even less on the strip-games.) but of course the same went for girls watching guys 10 years their senior doing the same.Bottom line, Dog eat Dog is on GSN on the Weekends.

this show is absolutely dreadful, although Brooke burns is a nice looking lady, she does not have what it takes to present this show. it amazes me how stupid people can actually get. each test is either impossible or really easy, which makes it really stupid to watch. the game doesn't work at all. each contestant has to vote the person who they think is least likely to complete the test. when this is done, a contestant is asked why they choose the person. this is a very unfair process since this person will always get out, if the contestant succeeds. another stupid thing about the show is that not everyone has to do as much, a person can win the whole thing without having to say a word. i conclusion, this is a show that deserves to be cancelled.

I used to like Television until the whole Reality TV trend. As mentioned so many times before, the bar for quality and decency is lowered with every new show. "Dog Eat Dog" is a reality show where men and women slug it out against each other in physical and mental challenges, most of them involving a huge pool. The rules of the game are unimportant because `in reality' they are just an excuse to show wet chicks in bathing suits. The show's contestants are aspiring stars (Waitresses & Personal Trainers) who want to get in some time behind the camera and hopefully get discovered. Designed for the 18-24 year old male audience, it's so blatantly contrived that most of the time only the girls end up in the water doing challenges. Before that, though, they have to strip down to their suits in front of the camera as it pans up and down their body. Watching this and countless shots of contestants' hooters and crotches as they frolic about in the pool makes one feel like some pervert at the beach. If you like to check out women in swim suits while they're not looking this show is for you. Now I don't mind a little harmless eye candy, but I'll stick with "Wild" on E! or Baywatch reruns.

I think most of the negative comments here are way off base. Yes, they did screw up allowing the "Roosevelt" answer. But anyone who thinks the physical challenges are easy just hasn't been watching much. You try holding your breath underwater for over 90 seconds! Get your butt out there and climb the rope in a heavy downpour in under 2 minutes! I'm pretty athletic, but I know I'd have some problems with some of those challenges. Anyone who says they're all easy is either in excellent shape (say Delta Force level), just not paying attention or deluded. It was amazing in the latest episode that the egotistical Darin easily completed the first incredibly-hard challenge, but lost in the head-to-head challenge. It isn't just physical.Yes the host, Brooke Burns, has to read the same tired rules every week for anyone watching who might be new. Yes, they're off a cue card. It doesn't mean she's an idiot. But the show is STILL a lot of fun, and Brooke is a fantastic host. Besides being so sexy, I think it's great that she can be a person, rather than just a personality. So she can clown with the contestants, put her arm around them, etc. She MAKES this show. And the strip-golf/hangman/football are tastefully done and make it more than just a physical challenge. No, the show isn't for pre-teens because of the idea of stripping. But adults should be able to handle it, since they blur out flesh that you'd normally see on a beach. It's interesting that the first woman I saw do one of these went all the way, yet none of the guys have bared it all! And they passed on the low-brow opportunity to have a strip challenge when the former Playboy Bunnies were on. I thought that showed some restraint. My wife and I both love this show and it's a shame to see it dumped this fall.
