Deanna There are moments in this movie where the great movie it could've been peek out... They're fleeting, here, but they're worth savoring, and they happen often enough to make it worth your while.

bruno-costa Defying Gravity is nice. The problem is that today we have a lot of very good options... But not that much on science fiction, so if you are looking for the genre maybe you gonna be satisfied. The show have good ideas, is focused on character development and use time lines very well. The problem is the poor execution. Visual effects do not ruin the show, but are very simple. The lack of resources for better effects create some problems with physics and chemistry. But the biggest problem is the casting and the dialogues. The actors are good, but many of them are misplaced. Ron Livingston is an excellent actor, but his character is lame and just don't fit him. Laura Harris try hard, but her character is supposed to be a little insecure and she simply don't deliver it, working much better when she need to show confidence. Also, the idea behind the dialogues are always fine, but the dialogues never work. I don't know if the actors improvise too much or too little, but it end up sounded artificial. But even a modest Sci-Fi is rare to find, so if you like the genre you can bet on this one.

bchodo I just don't understand. Programs like Defying Gravity, Firefly, and others, that highlight the highs and lows of the human condition get canceled, but shows that revel in the dysfunction of people get renewed for a decade. I would have loved to see how the story progresses. What happens to the crew as they make their grand tour of the solar system. Find out how Beta and Gamma interact and affect the crew. How Zoe was changed by her ordeal. How Arnel lost his leg. Why Jen can't see Beta or Gamma. Who (or what) is Nadia. And what will happen when all of "them" have been retrieved and are finally together.Maybe a pogrom against ignorant, shallow broadcast executives is necessary.

Ray P I happen to come across this show in all places at my local library! The premise for the show caught my interest and once I began watching it I wanted to get to the next episode to see what happened. Unfortunately, I've been left hanging after episode 13 because the show was CANCELLED!!! There have been some decent sci-fi drama shows that always get cut short because the normals of society just don't get it or have enough imagination to believe in the idea of what is out there!These days it's all about reality TV and watching people screw up or who are in a worse situation than yourself or on the off chance compete to win the prize!! But really, have our lives become so drab that we have to watch these other people succeed at something to make our lives more fulfilling? I guess I'm a dreamer and enjoy shows like this because they make me think about the possibilities. They make me forget about my daily woes and pull me into the story. That's what good TV shows do!It's too bad these networks have lost site of that and it explains a lot of why TV has gotten as absurd as it has in the past few years!!!It would be great if they got this show into a mini-series to finish it up.

rainer7-101-376603 Science fiction is about creating something out of reality. This show has ALL about it. It was extremely real what future can be in 40 years, and nevertheless creative. Why stop after only the story had begun to be interesting? Those managers are S***! Their marketing people give them lot of useless information, too. Where on earth do they find their figures???? Everyone I spoke to liked the show - WHY STOP???? The main plot is not the ET, but the interaction of feelings and intellects. Also all DIRTY management done by NASA and US government. Which, by the way, is NOT fantasy, only the nude reality.I am really fed up with those FIREFLY like procedures at TV SiFi shows!!!!!
