Simply A Masterpiece

When a movie has you begging for it to end not even half way through it's pure crap. We've all seen this movie and this characters millions of times, nothing new in it. Don't waste your time.

I am only giving this movie a 1 for the great cast, though I can't imagine what any of them were thinking. This movie was horrible

Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable

Unfortunately, like many other American movies, the scenes, people, behaviors, culture, events are full of lies and misrepresentation of reality of Iran. the movie is part of the political meddle in this country. So offensive to people and their understanding of reality!

This was a fairly decent spy drama. I am a fan of Mark Strong. The story boils down to American corporation conspiring to start a war with Iran to make billions in recovery and reconstruction. But the implication is clear that the president is Trump or someone like him. They refer to his tweets and present a dossier containing pictures of a supposedly pre-president (whatever the president's name is, it's not mentioned) in a hotel room with a hooker. More liberal BS about the President being trigger happy, when Dear Leader got us into more wars and conflicts (after receiving his prestigious Nobel "Peace" prize) than his predecessors. It's like finding that rotten part on a shiny apple, if you cut it off, the apple can still be enjoyed.

I love these sorts of series; International espianage /political thriller, its an ok plot, has been used many times before and has it's cliche's everywhere.but better than some similar series. It's not badly acted on the whole and has some great scenes and backdrops..There is one massive problem with the lazy poor scriptwriting tho and it's so big I can not put ity asside ...These operatives are out there hiding from control, who have no idea where they are or what the next move is..Yet they phone each other up all the time...So the top layer of the worlds seciurity services cannot track a single mobile phone ..Come on writers..Not one dump pnone...not one person turning off their phones or swapping them....It's a joke and thats just the main fault with the lazy writing...Get real..Gaz Top

The premise of the story is solid and believable, as well as is most of the acting. The US & UK deep states have been fracking the world over for some time already. The use of US deep state and military assets to benefit private conglomarates, the staged false extraction, the lies, etc., all that rings true.
The reason I didn't give a better rating is that there are some holes in the storytelling. Like when father and son, who are chased around Beirut by what seems to be everyone, decide to go to the rescue of the Hero's family and are seen roaming the Pyrenees, in what appears to be hours later, armed to the teeth.
Ahem! Okay, euh...how did they get there so fast? That's Marvel Universe territory.
Then, they involve the Gendarmerie Nationale as a diversion. Gendarmes arrive at the country estate where they are welcomed by UK armed henchmen. There's a confrontation and... that's the end of that. Well, in France's security context, this would be a big deal and would certainly end in a major diplomatic nightmare between France and UK. Then, poof!, The whole merry band (hero, his son, his wife & dauthers and her brother) are in Calais. They managed to cross the country in it's longest diagonal, in again what seems to be just hours, after all this kerfuffle in the South of the country, ready to be smuggled in a truck to England, just like that. I'll stop there.
Other then that, certainly watchable.
