It's a good bad... and worth a popcorn matinée. While it's easy to lament what could have been...

Watching it is like watching the spectacle of a class clown at their best: you laugh at their jokes, instigate their defiance, and "ooooh" when they get in trouble.

Cowboy Bebop is a story about the past. About memory. Spike, our main character, sturggles with his origins that are slowly and masterfully revealed to us. No episode is filler and every second is important to setting up the characters who we grow to love so that the story beats in the later episodes will truly affect us.The ending wraps up the story nicely and will force you to watch again: you will love every second and as a man who is not a huge fan of most anime I can entirely recommend this show.

Downright quintessential! I did not have a single moment when I felt "this part could have been done better than that".
There are a very few movies (2-3 hours long) which could attain this level of perfection, could show such craft. Cowboy Bebop was consistent in that area, through-and-through for 26 episodes! I can't decide whether the story was better, or the way it was shown. This show literally exhibited every single existing human emotion, many philosophical thoughts, the bleakness of reality with a touch of sophistication. So many things it made me think about, yet it never clogged my mind, the overwhelming feeling it generated was always just the right amount.
I don't like anime much, but this one blew my mind! I still can't believe I am praising an anime so much, and I can go on for an hour writing its review and still feel I am not done describing its AWESOMENESS.

Or three episodes I should say are great, Episode 8: Waltz for Venus, Episode 25: The Real Folk Blues Part 1 and Episode 26: The Real Folk Blues Part 2 are the only good episodes in this series and are above the rest of the series as the other episodes are just ok and just standard. The voice acting, character designs and music by Yohko Kano are good though. I give Cowboy Bebop a 5/10

Before watching Cowboy Bebop I considered anime to be for losers and introverts. I quite honestly never really understood what drew people into them until watching the aforementioned show. This show has every thing you can ask for almost as if you made a robot that could do anything you ever wanted and do these things immediately after you wanted them to happen. The show has great music ranging from Jazz to Rock n Roll. It has a well driven and well formulated plot that will leaving you on the edge of your seat wanting more and more. It has a set of characters that are by far my favorite from any TV, movie, or video game series. All of the characters have their own unique and interesting past, experiences, and motivations, that help tether all of them together. This show blew me away. I was awestruck at everything, the action scenes, the music/background, and the dialogue and characters. Everything was perfect and in my honest opinion it was how I would want my ideal show/anime to be or resemble. This show will get you so emotionally invested into itself you'll place it as the most important thing of your life. It will leave you wanting more and like myself horrified at the realization that their is no more content left to watch. It will get you addicted into watching anime and even wanting to read their manga source material. There are a few things in life you have to experience before you move on into the next one and watching Cowboy Bebop and seeing the adventures of Spike, Jet, Faye, Ed, and Ein is one of them.
