While it is a pity that the story wasn't told with more visual finesse, this is trivial compared to our real-world problems. It takes a good movie to put that into perspective.

The movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful

This show will make you LoL, and then it will make you think. Then you will feel a little sick, then you will feel a little sad. But you'll be glad you watched it. Corey comes on after Gruen and The Weekly and I skipped it a couple of times, but my mum said I should watch it - she'd watched the DV episode and noted how on the money Corey was. DV is a huge problem in Australia and Corey rightly calls out that current government approaches are short sighted and not working, and the fact Corey has a lived experience - and the balls to talk about it - add real weight to his opinions. The DV one made me sad, most of the other eps had me LoLing. The 17 minute eps are tasty little thought biscuits, Corey has his finger right on the pulse with some of these issues and he presents it in a most entertaining way.Good on ABC for giving him a guernse! You should watch it.
