Good story, Not enough for a whole film
Casey Duggan
It’s sentimental, ridiculously long and only occasionally funny
Lidia Draper
Great example of an old-fashioned, pure-at-heart escapist event movie that doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not and has boat loads of fun being its own ludicrous self.
Erica Derrick
By the time the dramatic fireworks start popping off, each one feels earned.

I tried to like this ... thing. But it is the most ill conceived mess of a "show". First you got some guy who lives in a million dollar home but doesn't do that much, except work out all the problems he didn't get to in high school. Then, he's got some supposed comic-relief friend that just pops in outta' nowhere like bozo the clown for, well, no reason. Then, there's his sister, a psychotherapist, who is so close to being the biggest screw up narcissist neurotic on the West coast you can't believe she can lace her own shoes, much less treat people with mental illness.ANd then, last but not least there's the little darling "16" year old daughter, who looks 25, and talks likes she's 40. Another narcissist portrayal of a teen who supposedly is allowed to lives as if she were beyond reproach of anyone - teachers, her "mother" and even the main dude her "uncle" treat her like a drinking buddy. It is the most insipid trying to be trendy characterization of a kid Hulu could possibly muster. Tie it all together with a string of been-there seen-that stories that don't even care enough to ask that we empathize with the characters, and TA-DA! you got an hour a week of your life you'll never get back after watching this nonsense. You could have more fun organizing a sock drawer.

I *really* want to like and support alternative programming - really, I do. But this ain't it. You mean: out of all the talented, out of work writers and actors out there, THIS is the best Hulu can come up with? It's horrid - the mother is supposed to be 39, she looks & acts 55. The main character guy is so unbelievable you can't get past it - it's like if you took a bad cast and tried to make a farce out of old 90210 story-line. And the, the daughter, who is supposed to be 16, looks 30, and acts like some entitled sister that never left home - instead of a child, in school. We all know that the world revolves around the kids now, don't we. And perhaps the most insulting part of it all: they try to repackage it all as 'innovative'. NOT. Sorry, not sorry, TOTAL FAIL.

Randomly went through Amazon prime video looking for something to watch, didn't really care much for what it was, just background noise per say, but actually this show was surprisingly good. Show starts out interesting with really funny socially awkward moments throughout. The characters actually progress with a story and back story of a tale why some of them are borderline crazy in their little world, if you don't see it at the start, you will towards the end.I'd say give the show a try, you'll ether really like it or hate it, fun humour, great acting and nice story.Do be warned it sort of starts off slow but give the show a chance you might be surprised like me when normally you wouldn't.

Most guys just wanna be Leon.. hanging out, waiting on the sidelines until beautiful women are brought to their doorstep time and again. It's overall a pretty good show.. casting, acting (luv Eliza Coupe), script writing, production values all very good. And it feels nothing like your average half-hour Hollywood sitcom. This one gets most all right.. that's not to say it will be around a long time, because guarantees are the exception when it comes to American audiences. Some stuff runs for years that by all rights isn't worth much.. while at the same time shows like this one struggle to gain popularity. Best just to enjoy it while we can and hope it stays around for an extended run beyond the announced 13 episode second season.
