While it doesn't offer any answers, it both thrills and makes you think.

The acting is good, and the firecracker script has some excellent ideas.

Humour is there but sometime it dark kind of some kind of light also.
It feel like anti hero feature of the vampire So much different in only ten episode and I can see the potential of next season but it just crack by ending remarks of the end. From Start the hero I mean kind of anti hero who is vampire but obsessed with human world and can try everything as it impress by manga video games and other thing from there. The Vampire can't decide the feeling toward the girl as he have not enough time what he experience first and for gain previous experience he try to anything. As in first episode she died (not fully).Totally now I am going to read manga may be read in Japanese as it has latest as I want to know what happen next.

Yesterday and day before yesterday I marathoned this whole anime and honestly it is pretty good and entertaining. I have to admit I laughed at the same. Just be clear though this anime is not related to Blood + or Blood C. It is just it's own anime. Despite having the name Blood Lad they don't over with nudity or over the top violence it has a perfect balance of both. Yes there is a bit of nudity in this anime but it is not a major problem. In terms of plot it is very good despite being only 10 episodes and an OVA. However, I do wish they continued the story for a bit longer because there is a lot of unanswered questions like will Fuyumi ever become a human again or will she stay a ghost/demon forever? and after the OVA we just see Staz charge head on to face a crab like man and the episode endsIn terms of voice acting it is pretty good and I like how Bryce Papenbrock the voice of Staz and Johnny Yong Bosch the voice of Braz are both brothers in this anime. This is also the case in another anime called Blue Exorcist where both Johnny and Bryce both voice brother. The other voice actors which include Kyle Hebert, Max Mittelman (credited as Jason Baker in this series), Kira Buckland, Christina Vee, Patrick Seitz Ben Diskin, Matthew Mercer, Erik Scott Kimmer and Xanthe Huynh were also very good supporting cast. Also some of the designs did come out as weird for me but that didn't really bother me that much.I am only going to say this if there was more episodes or a season with the unanswered then I would be satisfied. Other then that it is a pretty good anime and a job well done to the creators.

It was ok to look at the character of Staz whose considered as a slobby, selfish and an idiot vampire, who's in love with a human girl who just turned into a ghost by a monster. However I just didn't think the humour was there for me to actually laugh at the jokes involved here. I didn't find the storyline interesting either as some may think it is.I only watched just a few episodes of Blood Lad and I just didn't find it spectacular. It was good to look at but not continue it further, I'm giving it a 6/10..

Blood lad is one of the best new anime's out there right now. What is special about it is that it is one of the few anime to make me laugh but still have enough action to keep me at the edge of my seat. I honestly don't think I have laughed as hard in any anime before as I have in this one. It also has a certain sexiness to it. They don't overdo anything thus keeping a nice balance for a nice and unique anime. The plot is fairly simple but it is good enough to have you continue watching or reading it for a long time. I was surprised when I watched this because I was not expecting such an anime coming out of VIZ media. I hope VIZ will continue to produce more anime like this.
