Avatar: The Last Airbender Audience Reviews

Micitype Pretty Good
Bumpy Chip It’s not bad or unwatchable but despite the amplitude of the spectacle, the end result is underwhelming.
Quiet Muffin This movie tries so hard to be funny, yet it falls flat every time. Just another example of recycled ideas repackaged with women in an attempt to appeal to a certain audience.
Billy Ollie Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable
ab-47531 Can't say what anyone else already hasn't. A cartoon meant for kids became one of the best series ever created. Amazing storytelling, characters, and animation. You'll laugh, cry, and cheer. 10/10 would watch again and again
thatoneguy-61538 So everyone knows the feeling of watching something as a child and loving it, than going back to it when you're older and thinking "that was the worst show of all time, I'm now disappointed in myself for ever liking that." Not this show though. I watched every episode when it first came out and I loved it, actually I was obsessed with it. And very recently the blue ray version came out which I bought immediately, but I was worried, "would this be as good as I remembered?" And luckily the answer is yes. I enjoyed it more than when I first watched it. I was able to take in more of the beautiful artwork, the wonderfully designed and explained characters, and all of the phenomenal storytelling. There is so much character development that you almost feel like you know the characters (which is great until you finish the show because then you are a bit bummed). There was a quote by someone (I forgot whom it is from) that goes,"you know you've read a good book when you turn the last page and feel a little as if you have lost a friend." Well that's how it is for this show. I loved it then and I love it now. Whoever you are, I encourage you to watch this show, as it really is one of the best shows out there, for children, teens, and adults alike.
ychicken My definition of avatar was the movie with blue money aliens for years. I ignored everyone's comments for YEARS, whenever they hear that I never watched a single episode of avatar in my life. When I mentioned about Avatar 2 might come out (blue monkeys alien), he thought I meant airbender and I said no. He said he would re-watch the whole avatar episodes with me just to get me started. He said I missed the best classic animation. I gave it a shot. Oh my goodness, the story is very well made and jokes are hilarious! I can't believe this is a kid's show. If you have children go watch it with them now! If you don't watch it with your friends and family. The story is very decent for kid's show. I want to check out if there is a book or something. Comedy+Action+Cute+Great story+Great Characters It have everything.
Johnny H. Avatar: The Last Airbender is what millions of people automatically think of when they hear 'Avatar', NOT the 2009 James Cameron film. THIS is what Avatar truly is, this respects what the word means; an embodiment of what you are and what you stand for in absolute terms. This show has become a perennial favorite for fans all over the planet and for good reason; it was a convention breaker for Nickelodeon. We got a show with superhero-esque action sequences and character development and a show that finally emulated the aesthetics of anime. This show is now revered as a classic and for really good reasons. Fifteen years after release and people are STILL discovering this golden nugget of television goodness. Don't miss out on watching this in your life. It's a cartoon for the ages.
