i remember watching this film age of 7 in 1985 when it 1st come on TV i cry one the most bests film i ever seen i what'd to watch it again but it never came on i waited for years still remember this film I'm getting DVD of this soon but i watch it on you tube god brought back a lot of memory and nothing every beat this film and the music too is very heartwarming Anne of Green Gables one romance film i hope that one day there remake this film or something like this God bless Anne of Green Gables THE BEST, the MOST wonderful film BEAUTIFUL movie of all! sorry just can't help myself..I LOVE THIS FILM! and hopeful my children will too

Picturesque Prince Edward Island is the setting for this marvellous mini series about a talkative and highly imaginative young orphan girl who is taken in by a brother and sister who were looking for a boy to help them tend their farm.Megan Follows is wonderful as the dreamy Anne (with an 'e') Shirley, whose fiery temper and "feather brain ways" land her in hot water constantly. She plays the little girl growing up and coming to terms with reality and the challenges of life with real meaning. In support of her is the charming Richard Farnsworth and an outstanding Colleen Dewhurst as Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert. The entire cast are in fact a real pleasure.Adding to this delightful film of L. M. Montgomery's novel is Hagood Hardy's music and the spectacular cinematography from Rene Ohashi. Kevin Sullivan directs with absolute assuredness as he delivers an impeccably well balanced show full of touching drama and charming humour, whilst his costume and set designers recreate the late 19th century with unerring accuracy."Anne of Green Gables" will do more than make you smile, it will have you positively beaming. An absolute must for all the family, and anyone who wishes to have their senses and emotions filled to the brim. I just recently watched this movie again and all I have to say is this is an amazing movie. I remember watching it on TV when I was younger and I feel in love right then and there! Megan Follows is a very, very convincing Anne. Now when I read the books I picture her. I watch this movie at least once every three or four months just to be inspired. It's heart warming and a wonderful movie for children and adults alike. This movie makes you feel like you're there with her experiencing everything with her and growing up along side of her. The locations are breathtaking. The acting is wonderful. The theme is timeless. The movie all in all is fabulous. I never get tired of watching it.
