Fluentiama
Perfect cast and a good story
Keeley Coleman
The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;
Kaydan Christian
A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.
Lachlan Coulson
This is a gorgeous movie made by a gorgeous spirit.

Alexa and Katie is a Netflix series but it reminded me of Disney. I had my doubts after watching the first trailer, but I gave it a chance because I've seen movies and series of Paris Berelc and Jack Griffo.The series is about a girl recovering from cancer that lives her life at the most positive way along with her best friend and her really supportive family. It's a great comedy despite the main topic.It didn't have anything bad for me. I loved it, I watched all the episodes at once.

A complete insult, this show should've been canceled.

While yes this feels in every way like a Disney show but it doesn't mean it's a bad show. While yes there are sometimes you forget she has cancer BUT there are different stages of cancer that can show little to no signs to big intense signs. Even then it's not about cancer it's about a teen with cancer and society reacting to her with cancer. If this was a show that every episode she was in the hospital then yes it wouldn't be that good of a show but it's not. In fact I think it's a good representation of how a society sees someone who has a disability or a disease. So it's not that bad but if it it was only less Disney channel esk, maybe it could be taken more seriously.

I was a little skeptical at first, but Alexa and Katie is an amazing tv show! For someone who has never had cancer, or been close to anyone who has had to deal with long term cancer, I found it really helpful in understanding that kind of life. It also helped me see that having cancer doesn't change someone, and that they are still normal people. I loved the characters, and although there were some very stereotypical, overused traits and scenes, but all in all they added to the shows quality, and made me love it even more. Amazing tv show, and I hope that there is a season 2! (Also Alexa is the one with cancer, not Katie @amanda2332332)
