I just brought this show recently for my Christmas I have to say that this show awesome comic genius could not stop laughing which for me is the best sign. The characters are written so well and portrayed even better Jeniffer Saurnders is amazing and she doesn't hog the lime light of the show she gives everyone a chance to make something of themselves and I respect that I have only started watching this recently again I watched it when I was very young a long time ago but because it's something I want to as a career I thought I should look at the greats overall I am very happy that watched it again it brought back some great moments of my childhood and I have to say I have not laughed harder in ages so thanks Jeniffer Saurders and to all the other characters So overall if your a fan of great writing and great comedy buy this and have a laugh with some friends great stuff.

As one reviewer mentioned, the first time they saw AF they weren't impressed. I, too, would flick right by it on Comedy Central and then I gave it a shot.From then on I was totally hooked. No one does genuinely funny,raucous, and extraordinarily zany behavior as Jennifer and Joanna. Whether you're laughing at the general irony, funny flashbacks, or wacky substance-fueled adventures of the two friends you just never stop. Add to that the prim and proper daughter, the way out there grandmother, and the very funny airheaded assistant and it's a lethally funny combination.The antics these two get into like sneaking into Edina's daughter's room at night to wax her upper lip or adopting a baby in order to be trendy are clever and hilarious. The bottom line is if you give this show a fair shot, you won't be disappointed!!

Hilarious. That is about the only word I can think of when I think about this show.I have watched it from the very beginning (well, I have every episode on DVD). This is a perfect representation of a rich mother on her young daughter's case. Perfect if you want to split your sides laughing. A great success for Jenny Saunders! Too bad it's been canceled! :(. But on a more serious note, if you do get a chance to see this show, take your opportunity. June Whitfield plays the hilarious "mother" of Edina. Joanna Lumley is perfect as the coke addicted alcoholic. Julia Sawalha is just perfect for the daughter "Saffy". Saunders is the hilarious genius and mixed up mother! YOU MUST WATCH AB FAB!

Almost. I can say that this is a strong contender for the worst show of all time. I mean, I'm the type of person that can find something entertaining about almost every TV show and movie. But this, this, it's just.....well not there. And I'm a fan of other British comedies so I know it's not that. Just nothing redeeming about this show. Annoying characters, unfunny jokes, unfunny premises, bad acting. The list goes on. It seems to be an acquired taste to other people. I've tried to acquire it and then tried to erase the memory afterwords. If you're a fan, I don't see how. That escapes me. Open-minded as I am, I can't bring myself to even enjoy a single thing about Absolutely Fabulous. The more I think about it, it's not a contender. It is the undisputed, reigning champion of the worst TV shows ever. Just pure crap. Very annoying, but not an annoying funny. Just plain, want to rip your eyes out and plug your ears annoying. But as I say in all reviews, you must see for yourself and form your own opinion. If mine is not clear yet, let me restate.ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS IS THE WORST TELEVISION SHOW EVER.Good day.
