Watch it as the comedy that it is and you will have unlimited joy and pleasure from these 11 seasons of gold. After I watched the weed episode in season 2, I was hooked. It scratches an itch that I didn't know I had! Bravo!

Steve Carras Never really watched it a lot, but it did give us Jessica Biel and a few others. ONE thing..Stephen Collins. I'm surprised no one mentioned the now known and famed sex scandal when he was caught as a child molester!Haven't seen it for years if it all, and after Stephen Collins's horrible crime, but may decide to see if it was really worth watching (content wise, it really was heaven for a lot of people)Anyway, Jessical Biel is one of the memorable things to come out of the show, with movies such as her costarring role in "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry', 2007, opposite Adam Sandler & Kevin James.Anyway, hard to judge a show by the real life scandals (which Biel herself in the 1990s had been involved with, a nude picture)..

Chris 7th Heaven was and forever will be one of the greatest inspirational TV Series of the 90's of all-time. Despite the negative reviews, 7th Heaven was a inspirational and beautiful family show with a beautiful cast and characters. It was very uplifting and had emotional moments, but throughout the entire series it was very touching. Thanks to creator Brenda Hampton.The entire cast was terrific including David Gallagher he did awesome. We all enjoyed watching 7th Heaven for a long time and it was a joy. Beautiful story-lines and the show itself was moving. I wish it would've continued on and never ended. It was an excellent show. If they were to bring it back I wouldn't miss it for the world. I recommend 7th Heaven to all families, it will forever uplift you.

K M This show has been a real source of healing for me. I grew up in a highly abusive household, particularly emotionally so. The parents in this show set a healthy set of boundaries, and do their best to enforce them via relationship. You can see the parents struggling through their own imperfections to parent, but deal with them honestly the best they can. When their own "honesty" isn't so honest, it's usually brought to light, sometimes over a period of time.I don't find it "religious" at all, as other reviewers have commented. Religion suggests a set of rules, regulations, without relationship. This show has relationship to the hilt. Sometimes the parents are overly involved with what their kids are doing. I wish my parents had been more interested; the only way they were was to find out what I was doing "wrong", and never failed to tell me how bad I was. These parents do it primarily out of concern and love. It does get addressed by the kids when the parents are sometimes overly so, etc. and the parents were usually able to hear what the kids were saying, so I see the dynamics of healthy relationships. One trademark of health in a person is the ability to say "I'm sorry", and/or "I was wrong" - you see this over and over here. It was totally refreshing. It's the parents' jobs to install morals in children. The trick is to do it as honestly as possible with the willingness to admit your own faults; and this show does it beautifully. Neither the kids nor the parents were perfect, and I found that refreshing. You can see by the longevity of the show that it was a terrific one. It's served to give me the parenting I always needed in a terribly imperfect world.
