Fanciful, disturbing, and wildly original, it announces the arrival of a fresh, bold voice in American cinema.

I watched all 8 seasons of 24, including Redemption and Live Another Day and oh man did this suck and did not carry the torch of 24. I pray to God that it does not get a second season. The story, backstory, characters, everything just doesn't work like it did with the original. Also, shouldn't we call this like "12" or "12:Legacy" or something because it wasn't even a complete day in the life of the main character.I mean, I could probably throw together a homemade version of 24 that you would actually consider using as toilet paper. This is just complete garbage. And the addition of a homosexual relationship that was completely irrelevant to the story did not help me better understand this show.Another thing is that Eric Carter's wife seems to know just too much operational details about ongoing operations. Eric was a Special Forces operator, he should know that his work stays in the field. "Get in, get out, get gone." Not "Get in, get out, get gone, and tell your wife about it." I will admit the only joy I got from this show was hearing about Edgar Stiles as well as the appearance of Tony Almeida. I would like those 12 hours of my life back please.

Very poor, zero charisma on any of the cast. Story was predictable and dull, only good thing was it was only 12 episodes......... 24 was Jack Bauer somethings you cannot change. More terrorists arising from the dead - it not believable and not good fiction either Can assume there will not be a follow up

First of all I want to condole the families of the victims of yesterday evening's attack in London. If the western world wants to prevent terrorism, the agencies need to be much more competent than CTU is in this series.I liked watching the original series, but after season 1 it didn't get any better. More of the same. What was one of it's selling points was the length of it. The story was spread over 24 episodes and therefore there unfolded a somewhat believable story line with back stories to give it some meaning and purpose. 24: Legacy puts in the same amount of action in halve the time and therefore lacking a interesting narrative. It's almost if they put action scenes after one another. That is why I don't have faith in 4D-cinema. I'm afraid this is yet another nail in the coffin of a good story line. What bothered me also was that it felt like a love story. Most of the peoples actions where a result of their loved ones being threatened. Apparently when there is a serious thread to national security CTU hold a open house to everyone who want to come and visit.Luckily there wasn't a mole at CTU but that was 'compensated' by a plot line of American government officials kidnapping a little girl as leverage fore future terrorists attacks.About the real time thing. A woman is strapped in a bomb vest. You are asking her whom is it they are holding her leverage over. She is hysterical and doesn't answer but when you begin to dismantle the bomb she is calm-ish. Maybe this is the time to ask her again why it is that she is wearing the vest and whom the terrorists are using inside CTU. But no, we wait till the vest is dismantled and so wasting precious time and risk the vest blowing the woman into the sky and get an answer, if any, much later. All in all I was glad the last episode ended.

This is a truly awful show. Using the same old tired formula it will only work for the die-hard 24 followers of old. The acting is ordinary at best, the plot predictable and nothing like the show of old. Its only redeeming factor is that it is actually quite funny so long as you don't take it as the serious show it wants to be.
