Brilliant and touching

It’s an especially fun movie from a director and cast who are clearly having a good time allowing themselves to let loose.

This movie was so-so. It had it's moments, but wasn't the greatest.

This movie tries so hard to be funny, yet it falls flat every time. Just another example of recycled ideas repackaged with women in an attempt to appeal to a certain audience.

I watch every zombie flick I can find as long as the review is passable. This one is definitely passable, but nothing special. The film is set in Chile. It is low budget and in a foreign language (Spanish) which helps you forgive some of the sub-par acting as it is amusing when the translations come through a bit twisted. There's nothing more embarrassing than your own country men screwing up their lines and badly portraying their character into the bargain so I wouldn't be as forgiving if this were an American British or Aussie film. I think it would make a very good primer for film students to study and suggest changes to pacing and plot amongst other film-making do's and don't's.In all a good try with some definite skills coming through where budget ($22,000) was overcome by a good Director and Editor.

I always read the reviews before I watch any film. Normally if the reviews say it sucks, I don't watch the film. I'm glad I decided to watch this one. When I saw it was shot on a 600 dollar budget (about halfway through the film) I was floored. They did a lot with that 600 bucks if you consider how much everything cost these days. The actors must have been paid very little. From the opening scene I was hooked. It isn't the most action packed, if you want lots of zombie attacks and flesh eating, you had better look elsewhere. But I still found myself on the edge of my seat because I knew they were out there as evidenced by the chilling whoops and howls I heard. The film managed to keep me interested and worried for the teams outcome. Again, it wasn't action packed but it was enough. I watched the subtitled version (thank god, I hate dubbed movies) and I was not bothered by having to read my lines. I enjoyed this film as much as I enjoyed Dead Snow (another far more action packed zombie films I read rather than listened to)It WAS amateurish but it was not trash. The makers took the little they had and made a very passable zombie film. But that's just my opinion.

Two reviews as i type this so far, one says trash the other says better then expected and i 100% agree with the latter. After seeing the budget which seems crazy low i wasn't expecting a lot, then the thrilling opening scene and the gun fire effects as someone else also mentioned before caught my attention straight away. The movie kinda stalls part way through with bickering amongst the soldiers being the main story then but it was still very entertaining and one of the better zombie/infected movies.I would like to see a prequel and/or a sequel to this as i think they could have gone deeper into the story and studied the origins of the outbreak in more detail. So over all this was a nice surprise just when i thought i had seen all of the best Zombie/Infected movies.

Previous reviewer called this amateurish trash, he obviously has not seen many movies and certainly not many zombie/infected movies, It isn't World War Z or 28 Days/Weeks Later but i could probably list 100 movies in this genre alone that are worse and more amateur than this that have over 50 times the budget this has.I was not expecting much from this movie especially when i saw the budget was ONLY $600, i still find it hard to believe it was only $600 considering the quality and effects. The explosions and blood effects alone were pretty good and the effects the guns shots had were pretty neat with blood and dust flying up. The acting is gritty and not bad at all especially when you see that the cast have hardly done anything before. Everything you read about this movie tells you it is very amateur but everything you see in the movie doesn't look so amateur. Which leads me to think he didn't actually watch the movie lol.Anyway after the exciting opening scene things slow down a bit as it jumps 15 years forwards. By that time the infected would or should have decomposed and died out and a group of so called mercenaries and scientists finally decide to go and check the quarantined area out to try and find out what happened. Once inside the area they find they are not alone and meet with some resistance as well as unrest within the team. The movie picks up a bit again about half way through. Some of the script is lame but again the people behind the scenes of the movie (Directors, Writers etc) have done very little else so this is still a decent effort for what is a 1st time project for some of them. This is one of the better Zombie/Infected movies especially with the budget and experience they had and believe me there is a lot of trash ones out there and they don't come much worse than Killing Spree , check that out if you want to see amateur awful movie lol. This one will sit proudly in my ever growing list of Zombie movies seen. :)
